O Apple iPad Air 2 ainda é um tablet realmente bom que é agradável com sua construção ainda mais fina e materiais de alta qualidade. Infelizmente, a construção fina resulta em algumas desvantagens, dado que o tablet é mais sensível à pressão em comparação com o seu predecessor. A tela ainda é uma das melhores que você pode obter e um tablet. O valor de preto infelizmente se deteriorou um pouco, mas isto é reclamar em um nível muito alto. No entanto, graças à tela laminada, o efeito fantasma finalmente é uma coisa do passado. Somente o Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 pode derrotar o iPad Air em todas as categorias nesta seção.

A situação é diferente quando olhamos o desempenho: A combinação do novo processador A8X e a unidade gráfica PowerVR GX6650 é muito poderosa e o torna um dos componentes mais velozes atualmente no mercado. Somente o SoC Nvidia Tegra K1 pode competir, e inclusive, algumas vezes, derrotar o produtos dos californianos. Será interessante ver se o tablet Google Nexus 9 terá problemas de afogamento sob uso intenso também. Isto é um pouco irritante no caso do iPad Air 2, dado que o desempenho da CPU cai para quase o nível do A7 no Geekbench 3. Mesmo assim, o iPad é muito veloz, e as degradações do desempenho atualmente não são notórias.

Isto muda quando olhamos para a estabilidade do iOS 8.1. Muitos problemas das versões anteriores foram corrigidos, mas o sistema operacional ainda não é perfeito e muitos aplicativos ainda precisam de ajustes. Este aspecto, o afogamento e o adaptador de força insuficiente resultam na dedução de um ponto. Outro problemas são a remoção do toggle switch configurável, o som da conexão Bluetooth, e o fato de que um produto caro de gama alta não suporta Bluetooth 4.1 or LTE Cat. 6.

A Apple certamente entrega um bom upgrade, mas, em nossa opinião, não há motivo para trocar o novo produto se já possuir o primeiro iPad Air. Por outro lado, os usuários de iPads mais antigos recebem ofertas muito boas de incentivo.
