Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

Uma tela quase sem marcos, resfriamento passivo e portas Thunderbolt 3 – o Dell Latitude 13 7370 definitivamente se destaca entre a os enjoados portáteis empresariais convencionais. O Ultrabook não teme a muitos concorrentes em termos de mobilidade e qualidade, e convence com sua perfeita qualidade de construção, excelente estabilidade e dispositivos de entrada firmes. O desempenho da plataforma Core-m também é muito bom: Os picos de uso intenso são – pelo menos depois da atualização do BIOS – gerenciados tão bem quanto os rivais resfriados de forma ativa. As velocidades e o desempenho somente seriam afetados notoriamente sob uso intenso contínuo, mas este não deveria ser um problema comum durante nossas típicas tarefas de escritório.

Que o 7370 não tenha conseguido uma pontuação muito boa é principalmente por causa da tela. A Dell implementou um painel muito bom com uma poderosa iluminação de fundo, mas você nem sempre poderá utilizá-la devido aos ajustes automáticos de brilho e contraste. Um problema perturbante, mas ainda esperamos que outra atualização do BIOS resolva isso. Se este for o caso, somente o preço extremamente alto evitaria uma recomendação de compra não qualificada: Com um preço de cerca de 2200 Euros (~$2468), o Latitude 13 certamente não é uma barganha – inclusive um Apple MacBook 12 é algumas centenas de Euros mais barato.
