O chassi do GT72 pode estar ficando velho, mas o seu hardware e versatilidade não deveriam ser ignorados. Seu sistema de resfriamento consegue lidar com GPUs muito mais vorazes que a GTX 1060, portanto, o GT72VR 6RD funciona mais frio e silencioso que outros sistemas de jogos com a mesma GPU Pascal. Combine isto com a sua exclusive tela de 120 Hz/5 ms e opções UHD 4K e o sistema se torna muito mais fácil de recomendar sobre outros.

O trunfo do modelo é sua GPU removível. É relativamente simples para um gamer atualizar a GTX 1060 para a GTX 1070 e somente está opção faz do GT72VR 6RD muito atraente. A capacidade de manutenção é mais fácil que em um equivalente da Asus e é similar à de uma unidade barebones, portanto, os usuários podem simplesmente comprar a GT72VR SKU de gama inferior (ou inclusive um antigo GT72) e atualizar em um futuro, se a GTX 1060 se torna insuficiente.

Também estamos esperando que haja maior controle de qualidade para com a tela. Tivemos duas unidades GT72VR até agora e ambas mostraram marcos irregulares ou bleedin da iluminação de fundo muito notória. É recomendável que os usuários verifiquem a tela para quaisquer discrepâncias antes ou imediatamente após a compra.

A série GT72VR permanece relevante por causa de seu slot MXM 3.0b e sua capacidade de fácil manutenção, mesmo tendo sido sucedido pelo GT73VR.
