The similarly priced Lenovo L412 has a slightly larger 14-inch screen and comparable performance. Some may prefer the Core i3-powered Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 14, but overall we prefer the Vostro because its powerful yet still fairly portable.

For this reason, Dell launched its Vostro line a couple of years ago, geared toward small businesses, startups, and corporations that don't need the bells and whistles of an enterprise laptop. The Dell Vostro 3300 ($1,142 direct) is very mobile, as it's the smallest in this line and features a 13.3-inch widescreen. Though it's small in size, it sports powerful parts can cater to any big league professional. I wouldn't recommend buying it without the 80WH (8-cell) battery, though.

EN→PTOverall I come away being impressed with the Dell Vostro 3300 as it offers a lot of bang for the buck. For under $700 I got a high quality built laptop with good performance and a light weight. The poor battery life is a bummer for sure, if you need more than four hours on battery you’ll have to get the larger 8-cell battery which will add weight and cost. The fact you get a new Core i3 or i5 processor, optical drive built-in, weight of around 4 lbs, aluminum case, appealing design and very mobile form factor all for $700 - $1,000 depending on the configuration I would consider the Vostro 3300 a strong buy for students and business workers that are interested in this laptop.

NVIDIA GeForce 310M: A GeForce 310M é a sucessora da GeFore G210M e se baseia no mesmo chip com freqüências muito semelhantes (velocidade de shader +30MHz até 1530MHz).
Alguns jogos atuais não tão exigentes podem ser jogados fluentemente com poucos detalhes.

430M: O Core i5-430M é um CPU dual core de classe média que apresenta apenas 3 MB L3 Cache (comparado com o I7-640M) e apresenta uma freqüência entre 2,26-2,53 GHz (Modo Turbo). Além disso, VT-d, trusted Execution e características AES estão faltando no 430M. Graças ao Hyperthreading, 4 threads podem ser processados simultaneamente. Uma placa de vídeo integrada (Intel HD Graphics com 500-733 MHz) e um controlador de memória DDR3 também estão incluídos no pacote.

A vantagem é, que o subportátil pode ter menores dimensões e pode ser carregado facilmente. Além disto, a pequena tela tem a vantagem que precisa de menos energia, o que melhora o tempo de execução da bateria e como conseqüência a mobilidade. A desvantagem é que a leitura de textos é muito exaustiva para os olhos. Altas resoluções dificilmente podem ser usadas.
