But even though the Limited Pink Edition Fujitsu LifeBook P7230 can do almost everything a full-size laptop can - even burn DVDs - it takes two to three times longer because of its slow processor.
Equipped with a 1.2GHz Core Solo U1400 chip and 1GB of RAM, the Limited Pink Edition Fujitsu LifeBook P7230 earned a lackluster WorldBench 6 Beta 2 score of 32.

I’ve really enjoyed using the P7230 for its real purpose – being a great notebook to throw in your bag when on the go and easily use in tight spaces. I used it while at an exposition in Germany called CeBIT and it was easy to pull the P7230 out and hold it with one hand while typing with the other to quickly check email or the web. Try doing that with anything bigger than a 14” screen notebook. You don’t sacrifice much with the small size either, you still get an optical drive and a good selection of ports. Sure the keyboard is smaller and the screen won’t fit as much as a larger one, but anyone buying the P7230 realizes that.

Overall, Fujitsu has an interesting offering in their P8010 ultraportable, though it was (and still isn’t) the clear pick in its category. If you absolutely need an optical drive and you want a 12-inch system it could be a good choice, but there is enough competition out there that for most people it won’t be the way to go, even before you factor in the availability of newer systems. There is a lot to like about the P8010, but it is missing a few obvious features and the build quality could be improved, so given the price (currently about $1600-2000) buyers should give a good look at the competition first. That said, I’m looking forward to seeing what Fujitsu brings to market with the next model.

In the final analysis, the Fujitsu Lifebook P1620 is, to our eyes, a more useful and utilitarian notebook than Apple’s Macbook Air. While the Fujitsu Lifebook P1620 is too thick to fit in a manila envelope, it’s lighter, smaller, arguably easier to pack and stow than the Macbook Air and offers a lot more ports and connectivity options. The Macbook Air, on the other hand, appears to be more aesthetically pleasing than the Lifebook, has a larger display and is available with a faster processor. Fujitsu's LifeBook P8020 is a well designed business laptop that offers a complete laptop experience including a DVD burner in a small 12.1-inch package. With the latest Intel Core 2 Duo processors (even the ultra low voltage ones), notebooks like the Fujitsu LifeBook P8020 are a perfect fit for business users who need an ultralight that’s capable of running MS Office apps, web browsers, Photoshop and phone syncing tools (like the BlackBerry desktop software) well. At 2.9 lbs., the Fujitsu is lighter and a bit faster than the Toshiba Portege A600, and it shines when it’s armed with a Solid State Drive. The notebook has all the necessary ports, a built-in optical drive and most security features. The super capacity main battery will lure business travelers who are often away from a power outlet and the notebook has a business serious but stylish look. Though the notebook performs well at multimedia and wireless, the display disappoints with a Tablet PC-like grainy screen and very limited viewing angle, and the speakers could sound better.

The Fujistu LifeBook P8020 is a good business ultraportable but could be considered limited when compared against rivals from HP and Lenovo. The build quality, while well above a standard consumer notebook, is slightly under the Thinkpad X200 or EliteBook 2530p, yet the P8020 is priced above both. The semi-rugged feel isn’t there, but Fujitsu does manage to offer a very lightweight construction and even an optical drive. The one aspect where I feel the P8020 really shines is the screen, which is a step above other 12" business notebooks.

It has the features and build quality we’ve come to expect from the Lifebook series including an LED backlit 8.9" WXGA Transmissive anti-glare screen and integrated 3.5G wireless internet capabilities. Under the hood, an Intel Core 2 Duo SU9300 processor running at 1.2GHz powers the P1360. The Fujitsu Lifebook P1360 is a highly portable tablet PC solution and will suit those that need something that performs well but is also suitable for taking on the road. It performed well and apart from a few small things we didn’t have any major problems with it.

Fujitsu-Siemens: FSC é um dos maiores fabricantes internacionais com cota especialmente alta de mercados da Alemanha. Nos paises de língua alemã, muitos modelos de portáteis de FSC são analisados. Somente alguns destes portáteis atingiram posições altas de acordo com as classificações totais e avaliações de preço/valor.

FSC análises

Fujitsu: Fujitsu, fundada em 1935, essa empresa japonesa especializada em semicondutores, ar condicionados, computadores (supercomputadores, computadores comerciais e servidores), telecomunicações, e serviços, tem sede em Tóquio. A Fujitsu emprega cerca de 160.000 pessoas e possui 500 empresas subsidiárias. Sua parceria com a Siemens AG foi estabelecida em 1999 na forma da Fujitsu Siemens Computadores, uma das maiores fornecedoras de hardware da Europa, e de 50 % de propriedade de cada uma das empresas (Fujitsu e Siemens). Em 2009, essa cooperação foi terminada. No futuro, nenhum computador será vendido com a marca "Fujitsu-Siemens" somente "Fujitsu".

Estes processadores gráficos podem mostrar fluidamente só jogos antigos. Jogos atuais só podem ser apresentados com detalhes substancialmente reduzidos.

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 950: Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 é um chip de vídeo integrado (incorporado) na Mobile Intel 945GM chipset.  É uma versão clocked mais rápida da GMA 900.

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) X3100: Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) X3100 é um chip de vídeo integrado (incorporado) num chipset de Mobile Intel 965GM (para Merom =Core 2 arquitetura). É a sucessora da GMA 950.  O mais interessante é a integração de um pipeline completamente programável.  Devido à integração de características Direct X9, HDR e Hardware Transform & Lighning (T&L) – sua predecessora só tinha Software T&L – deveria estar pronta para Windows Vista Premium (suporte Aero Glass completamente).  Com respeito aos dados, o desempenho deve ser claramente melhor al de GMA 950.

Alguns jogos atuais não tão exigentes podem ser jogados fluentemente com poucos detalhes.

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 4500MHD: GPU integrado (memória compartilhada) no chipset GM45 (Montevina). Graças a dois shaders a mais e uma freqüência de núcleo mais alta, é muito mais rápido que o antigo GMA X3100. Mesmo assim, não é recomendável para jogadores (jogos DirectX 10 não são fluidos e podem ser jogados somente com configurações muito baixas). O processador de vídeo integrado é capaz de ajudar a decodificar vídeos HD (AVC/VC-2/MPEG2), como para uma reprodução fluida de Blu-Ray com CPUs lentos.

Intel Core Duo: Sucessor de Pentium M; O processador Double Core com uma boa relação de desempenho e consumo de energia. Os 2 MB do L2 Cache são usadas juntos ao dobro. A capacidade máxima de 31 watts é apenas mais 4 watts do que com o Pentium M (antecessor). Ambos os núcleos (cores) diminuem a velocidade a 1 GHZ automaticamente e independentemente um do outro. Adicionalmente ele agora suporta também instruções SSE3. Depois da primeira comparação de desempenho (benchmark) o Core Duo completa todos os testes ao menos tão rápido quanto um equivalente Pentium M. Com aplicações que foram feitas para multi-processadores, o desempenho pode ser cerca do dobro do que com  o Pentium M.

Intel Core 2 Duo: Este é o sucessor do Core Duo e o Core Solo com um pipeline mais longo e com 5-20%  a mais de velocidade sem maior consumo de energia. Adicionalmente ao design do Core Duo existe um quarto decodificador, uma unidade SSE ampliada e uma unidade lógica aritmética (ALU) adicional.

Os Core 2 Duo para notebooks são idênticos aos processadores Core 2 Duo para desktops, mas os processadores para notebooks trabalham com tensões mais baixas e um Frontside bus clock mais baixo. O desempenho de notebooks igualmente clocked é 20-25% mais baixo que PCs Desktop  por causa do Frontside bus clock mais baixo e os discos rígidos mais lentos.
