As long as there is a need for a new computer with the latest technology, Samsung will continue to produce some of the best technology on the market today. The Samsung Q40T002 Laptop is affordable, reliable, and is sure to make a great gift at the holidays, or just as a gift to one’s self at any time of the year.

There's lots to like about the Samsung Q40: it's a neat and trim 12.1in laptop with a brushed aluminium finish that weighs a scant 1.2kg, making it worthy of the term ultraportable. The Samsung Q40 doesn't look as expensive as some models we've tried but it feels robust enough and you don't end up leaving telltale greasy finger marks all over it. More importantly, the Samsung Q40's keyboard is springy and responsive and the keys sufficiently large for the average user to tap away comfortably.
Samsung kits out the Samsung Q40 with Vista Home Premium running on a 1.2GHz Intel processor, a 60GB hard drive and 1GB of RAM. This resulted in a dreadful WorldBench speed score of just 26 – one of the poorest performance scores we’ve seen in quite some time. However, the Samsung Q40 is incredibly strong in other areas.

A great ultraportable for the price; small, stylish and lightweight, it's only a whisker away from the A List. You're buying a gorgeous, well-constructed notebook that performs all the tasks you'll need and is a pleasure to use. The only real sacrifice is the external rather than internal DVD writer. But let's not forget that Samsung bundles two batteries despite the low price. This is simply the best ultraportable we've seen for under £1,000.

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 950: Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 é um chip de vídeo integrado (incorporado) na Mobile Intel 945GM chipset.  É uma versão clocked mais rápida da GMA 900.

Intel Core Solo: Versão de um só núcleo (core) do Core Duo e sucessor do Intel Pentium M; Por causa da redução de 65nm no largo da estrutura também menor consumo de energia que o Pentium M (maximo 27 Watts); o desempenho é comparável  com o equivalente clocked Pentium M (de algum modo mais rápido por causa de algumas melhorias).

A vantagem é, que o subportátil pode ter menores dimensões e pode ser carregado facilmente. Além disto, a pequena tela tem a vantagem que precisa de menos energia, o que melhora o tempo de execução da bateria e como conseqüência a mobilidade. A desvantagem é que a leitura de textos é muito exaustiva para os olhos. Altas resoluções dificilmente podem ser usadas.
