I keep imagining the “everything laptop,” something that can handle everything well, from work to creative tasks to gaming. I can’t imagine anything that would look far off from the Acer Predator Triton AI 14—at least, as long as you have its power brick nearby and easy access to an outlet. The product’s flaws don’t detract much from the overall experience. Even if performance may not be up to par with other devices at similar price points, I still prefer the other unique benefits Acer’s latest brings to the table. Or at least I will, until Acer decides to stick a Panther Lake chip in this thing and figures out how to give it all-day battery life. At that point, it may truly strike gold.

This is an ultra-thin, ultra-light laptop with a discrete GPU that can game or do photo and video editing with solid battery life. It's a fantastic choice for a STEM student or frequent traveler who wants a gaming laptop. However, it's not a cheap laptop, so if you need to stick to a budget, opting for the RTX 5050 version of the HP Omen Transcend 14 probably makes the most sense. Alternatively, if you don't need a discrete GPU, the Asus Zenbook S 14 with Intel's Lunar Lake has enough integrated graphics power to handle gaming at 1080p and medium graphics presets. But if you don't want to compromise on your GPU power and still get a light, thin 14-inch laptop with a fantastic OLED display, it's hard to deny that the Triton 14 AI is one of the best choices available.

Acer’s super-slim Predator Triton 14 AI impressed me with its gaming power

After two weeks of testing, the Predator Triton 14 AI feels more like a gaming laptop with some creator-friendly extras to me than a machine meant to please both camps. The stylus is a neat inclusion, and only being able to use it on the glass touchpad doesn’t feel like a major restriction. The stability Nvidia Studio drivers promise sounds niche, but could be a boon over rival gaming laptops for those that need it. For those that don’t, it pushes the price up over Acer’s main rivals, making it just a little harder to recommend in spite of the gorgeous screen. The GPU is as quick as you’ll find in a laptop so thin and light, but isn’t the perfect soulmate for that high display resolution and requires some pretty loud cooling. If portability isn’t your top concern you’ll definitely get more oomph from a 16in model – and probably pay less for it too.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop: Uma próxima placa de vídeo da família Blackwell para laptops, que a Team Green provavelmente apresentará na CES 2025. Considerando que o laptop 4070 tem 4.608 shaders unificados (núcleos CUDA), o 5070 provavelmente terá bem mais de 5.000 shaders.
Estas placas de vídeo devem ser capazes de agüentar jogos modernos (com algumas exceções) com altas resoluções e altos detalhes.

O 288V deve ser lançado em setembro de 2024; prevê-se que ele tenha 4 núcleos E e 4 núcleos P rodando a até 5,1 GHz, a rápida iGPU Arc 140V e 32 GB de RAM LPDDR5X-8533 on-die.
