But the version of Dell's Studio 17 that we review here -- the high-end model with a 17.3-inch touchscreen -- isn't really either. The touchscreen Studio 17 offers good performance, but it's too expensive for a machine in Dell's mid-range series, and, at this price, it should really have a display with a 'Full HD' resolution.

Before the iPhone was launched, the mobile networks were worried that the ‘multitouch’ control system wouldn’t catch on. How wrong they were – it’s now a standard feature for smartphones, and laptops and monitors are only just catching up. The state of the art screen may be a little before its time, but this is an excellent desktop replacement regardless.

ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650: Mobility HD 4650 baseada no Desktop 4650 arquitetura, mas com freqüência menor de memória e core. Dependendo da freqüência (450-550MHz possível) e a memória utilizada (DDR2, DDR3, GDDR3 com 600-800 MHz é possível) a 4650 móvel pode mostrar um desempenho diferente. O consumo atual do chip sozinho varia de 15-25W. Possui vídeo Avivo HD.
Alguns jogos atuais não tão exigentes podem ser jogados fluentemente com poucos detalhes.

720QM: O Core i7-720QM é o Core i7 mais lento em 2009 e apresenta uma freqüência entre 1,6 e 2,8 GHz (graças ao Modo Turbo) Portanto, combina as vantagens de um CPU quad core lento com um veloz cpu de um só núcleo. Comparado com os CPUs Core i7 móveis, o 720QM somente apresenta 6MB L3 Cache.
