Acer Aspire 7738G is, basically, smaller version of Aspire 8730G model with few small, but very useful hardware upgrades and just few minor problems. Fortunately price tag for 7738G (around 720€) is lower than 8730G model, so we can recommend this model, especially since target user group is clearly defined. Our final impression is that Acer Aspire 7738G, with its quality build and performances, easily justifies price that you will have to pay for it.

Acer Aspire 7738G in this review is the first ordered Acer that we received with pre-installed with Windows 7 Ultimate 64bits. Being a 7.5lbs notebook, it is not quite mobile as one expects but it serves beautifully as a media and development machine around the desk. Screen feels solid at topening and closing. The bright screen presents all media with stunning clarity.
A good investment for home media usage.

NVIDIA GeForce GT 240M: A Nividia GeForce GT 240M é uma placa gráfica para portáteis DirectX 10.1 baseada no núcleo GT216. Ela é a sucessora da GT 130M e tecnicamente uma GT 230M com um clock maior. Por causa dos seus 48 núcleos de shader, ela deve ter uma performance notavelmente melhor que uma GT 130M e devido ao processo de produção de 40nm o consumo de energia deve se manter o mesmo.
Alguns jogos atuais não tão exigentes podem ser jogados fluentemente com poucos detalhes.

Q9000: CPU quad core(4 núcleos) de baixa freqüência que sofre de baixa velocidade de freqüência em muitos jogos. Portanto, não é adequado para jogos e somente para aplicativos multi threaded.
