Why is the keyboard layout so funky? Why are the USB ports on the front edge instead of the side or rear? How about it, Fujitsu? Add an inch, lose the touch screen, stretch the battery, say $750? We'd buy one. Maybe two, to keep one in the car.

Whether it's the 2.0GHz Intel Atom processor, built-in WiMAX, touch-typable keyboard, excellent mouse controls, great performance, zippy SSD, or a combination of all those elements, I find it hard to put the elongated clamshell down.

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 500: Chip gráfico integrado (onboard) nos chipsets UL11L, US15L, and US15W com um core licenciado PowerVR SGX. Suporte DirectX 10.1, mas por causa da baixa freqüência (100-200 MHz UL11L - US15) e com somente 4 sombreadores não é apropriado para jogos em 3D. O decodificador de vídeo integrado acelera o playback de vídeos em HD (MPEG2, VC-1, AVC).
Muitos jogos são dificilmente executados com estes adaptadores gráficos ou se executam muito lentamente.

Intel Atom: A série Atom da Intel é um microprocessador de 64 Bits para portáteis pequenos e baratos, MIDs, ou UMPCs. A especialidade de sua nova arquitetura é a execução “in order” (ao inves de a usual mais rápida execução “out of order”). Assim, o trabalho do transistor é bem mais baixo na série Atom, e é mais barato para produzir.
Z530: Uma versão economizadora do Atom N270 com suporte para virtualização e mais técnicas de economia de energia. O desempenho é igual ao do N270 e, portanto, somente é adequado para tarefas básicas.
