The Gigabyte P35K-CF4 UltraBlade has not impressed us at all and we could not recommend that our readers rush out to buy this laptop. Initial issues required us to install a BIOS update and fresh drivers to get the laptop working correctly, although part of the blame may be the way that these samples are rotated to press for many months without regular maintenance. An improved system of ensuring the latest updates and drivers are installed before shipping to the publication would certainly help smooth out the process.

The Gigabyte P35K is a relatively thin 15.6-inch gaming laptop with a matte Full HD display and high-power graphics. The Gigabyte P35K has two major drawbacks that are interrelated: overheating and a loud fan. Other than that, it's got everything an on-the-go gamer could want: great processing, graphics, picture quality and sound quality, all in a relatively easy-to-carry frame.

Ultimately this is a decent laptop for gamers, packing some very nice hardware. However the compromises made to keep this thin and light are, in our minds, too great to make this a standout product. The overall design has potential, but Gigabyte needs to spend some time working on the thermal design in order to reduce fan noise, while also coming up with a better solution than just clocking down the CPU to ensure decent battery life. If it can do this, while still keeping the price reasonable, then the P35K could evolve into something special indeed. For now though, this will remain a competent, if flawed, attempt at mixing performance and portability.

To some extent, laptop buying is always about making compromises. At 0.83 inch thick and just under five pounds, there's plenty to like about the Intel Core i7-based Gigabyte P35K. But in the quest to create the lightest 15-inch gaming laptop, some compromises had to be made.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 765M: Placa de vídeo de gama alta da série 700M da GeForce baseada na arquitetura Kepler.

Estas placas também devem ser capazes de agüentar todos os jogos atuais, mas a maioria deles em configurações de detalhes médios e baixos e com baixas resoluções. Jogos mais antigos, ou menos exigentes ainda podem ser jogados com boa qualidade de gráficos.
