The OPPO Reno10 Pro+ is about R2k more expensive than its predecessor at R21 999 (depending on the retailer). Do you get more value or performance on the Reno10 Pro+? The short answer is yes, with better specs across the board, but that is to be expected of a new iteration. The problem that the Reno10 Pro+ finds itself with is that at R21 999, it is in the same price bracket as the Samsung Galaxy S23. While that phone was launched earlier in the year, this new device is still not on par with its specifications or performance. As such, while OPPO’s new flagship phone is a great all-around performer, there are still better options in the same price bracket. If this phone was coming in closer to the R19k or even R18k price point, perhaps it would be a savvier pick up. For now though, it finds itself up against a fairly well stacked Android flagship market.

I think both these phones share a lot of similarities including the IR blaster, but the biggest difference is the chipset. One is using the MediaTek Dimensity 9000, and another is using the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. Both these phones are created with the same idea in mind – bringing some of the flagship experience from last year and repackaged it as a mid-range smartphone. I like this approach a lot, but I’m not sure about the price, honestly. At RM3,499 – I can only say yeowzers.

Na minha opinião embora este não seja um smartphone que vá incomodar os grandes nomes do mercado, senão tem grande orçamento, certamente que valerá a compra. A configuração da lente tripla oferece boa qualidade de imagem, com a lente 1x produzindo bons resultados , e a opção “telefoto” 2x também a sair-se bastante bem. O ultralargo não é o melhor do mercado, mas também não é tão mau como pode imaginar. O vídeo não é muito impressionante, mas senão for um problema para si, nem irá notar problema nesse aspeto. No modo geral, tendo em conta o preço e características valerá apenas a sua compra, numa escala de 0 a 10 daria um 8, tendo por base todos os pontos que mencionei ao longo do artigo.

The ultrawide isn’t the best on the market, but it’s not too bad either. Video isn’t very impressive, but if you’re only grabbing the odd clip, it’s likely to be good enough for what you need. If you’re trying to get the most performance for the least money, Oppo’s Reno 10 5G is not going to be the one for you. In that circumstance, I recommend the Xiaomi 12T, where you’re getting a massive leap in performance for the same price. Alternatively, Google’s Pixel 7a isn’t much more expensive and offers better performance than the Reno 10 5G, as well as a clean Android installation and a terrific suite of cameras. Of course, the Pixel 7a doesn’t have a telephoto lens, and it’s here that the Reno 10 5G really finds its niche. Optical zooms are as rare as fairy dust in this price range, and the Reno 10 manages to include a decent sensor with very few corners cut. Add in the extensive battery life and the near-flawless display, and there’s just enough here to make up for the flagging performance. If you care more about a robust camera array than speedy processing, the Oppo Reno 10 5G could well be for you.

No entanto, a única área onde há dificuldades é a experiência do software, que atualmente não corresponde ao preço “premium”. O smartphone também não tem classificação IP e possui apenas uma coluna. Se você está a procurar um smartphone com bom design e com um ecrã de primeira linha e uma configuração de câmera versátil, acho que deve considerar adquirir o Oppo Reno 10 Pro 5G. Por outro lado, como tinha mencionado na parte do desempenho, se deseja um smartphone com um desempenho premium, uma boa experiência de software acho que deverá procurar outras alternativas.

Overall ergonomics have improved over the past with a slimmer profile and lighter weight. At the level of photo capabilities, OPPO has made a big step forward from the past. The absence of the Marisilicon X chip isn’t felt as much thanks to the optimisation of the imaging software.

The OPPO Reno10 Pro 5G is priced at Rs 39,999 in India. However, if you are looking for a smartphone with better features at a similar price point, the online market has some attractive options to consider, even if they don’t have a telephoto lens. On the other hand, if you prefer shopping offline, you can explore the Samsung Galaxy A54 5G (review) and Vivo V27 Pro (review) smartphones. Both of these models boast beautiful AMOLED displays with 120Hz refresh rate, similar to the Reno10 Pro 5G. Additionally, they offer an enhanced listening experience with stereo speaker output. The Vivo smartphone also comes with an interesting colour-changing design and a more power-efficient chipset. However, it’s worth noting that the Samsung Galaxy M34 5G and Vivo V27 Pro both lack the fast charging capabilities that you get with the OPPO Reno10 Pro 5G smartphone.

The omission of things like stereo speakers and an ingress protection rating at this price point are major oversights. And even if these were present, the overwhelming sentiment surrounding the phone is that at its current pricing of around RM2,199 ($470/€430) in Malaysia and INR 39,999 ($490/€430) in India, it is just too expensive to truly be competitive. Prospective buyers are rightfully pointing towards the Snapdragon 778G chipset as well. While still offering a decent level of performance and fairly modern features, it is getting on in age and understandably putting off users. Having said all this, prices are always subject to change, and we need to try to evaluate the Reno10 Pro as a product independently as well. In our opinion, there is still plenty to like here.

The Oppo Reno 10 Pro 5G boots the latest ColorOS 13.1, which is based on Android 13. Under the hood, the device uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC with an Adreno 642L GPU. There's only one variant with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. And that’s about it in terms of differences between the Reno10 Pro+ versus the Reno10 Pro. The price gap between these two phones is huge. I’m talking about a RM1300 leap. This gap is mainly due to the chipset and also the optical zoom capability. But referring back to the OnePlus Nord 3 that we reviewed previously… I’ll say that this Reno10 Pro is way too expensive. They’re both at the same price but the Nord 3 comes with a Dimensity 9000 chipset, a version of ColorOS with no bloatware that is called OxygenOS, and the same charging speed.

Estas placas também devem ser capazes de agüentar todos os jogos atuais, mas a maioria deles em configurações de detalhes médios e baixos e com baixas resoluções. Jogos mais antigos, ou menos exigentes ainda podem ser jogados com boa qualidade de gráficos.

Qualcomm Adreno 730:

Chip gráfico para smartphones e tablets que está integrado no SoC da Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. A Qualcomm afirma que é 30% mais rápida que a Adreno 660 no SoC Snapdragon 888. Para o Android deveria ser uma das placas gráficas mais rápidas no final de 2021.

Alguns jogos atuais não tão exigentes podem ser jogados fluentemente com poucos detalhes.

ARM Mali-G68 MP4:

Placa gráfica integrada de médio alcance com 4 clusters baseados na arquitectura Valhall. 

Qualcomm Adreno 642L:

Chip gráfico para smartphones e tablets que está integrado no SoC Snapdragon 778G da Qualcomm. A Qualcomm afirma que é 40% mais rápido do que o Adreno 620.

Qualcomm Snapdragon:

SD 8+ Gen 1:

SoC high-end para smartphones que foi introduzido no final de 2021 e fabricado em 4 nm na TSMC. Integra um "Prime Core" baseado em uma arquitetura ARM Cortex-X2 com relógio de até 3,2 GHz. Mais três núcleos de desempenho são baseados no A710, mas relógio até 2,5 GHz. Além disso, quatro núcleos de economia de energia são integrados que são baseados na arquitetura ARM Cortex-A510 e relógio de até 1,8 GHz. Além dos núcleos de processador, o SoC integra um modem WiFi 6e, um Hexagon DSP (para aceleração de IA) e um Spectra ISP. O controlador de memória integrado suporta memória LPDDR5 rápida com até 3.200 MHz. 5G está agora incluído no chip com o modem Snapdragon X65. Em comparação com a versão não mais, a 8+ Gen 1 oferece um Prime Core de 200 MHz mais alto clocked e uma GPU de 10% mais alta clocked. Além disso, ele agora é produzido na TSMC e não na Samsung.
