Prices are under $300 and weight around 2.4 pound. The sacrifices for price and weight come at the cost of both running time and storage capacity. The partnering of Android with Windows 7 still doesn’t appeal to us. The Android OS is tempting but ultimately doesn’t really offer enough to get excited about. We’d rather boot straight into Windows 7, which offers much better performance. Fortunately Acer offer simple control over the Android side of things so you can opt to disable it if you like.
Otherwise the build quality and choice of materials isn’t premium, but the performance overall is great for a compact device to take on the road with you.

Acer: Em 1976, a empresa foi fundada em Taiwan com o nome Multitech e foi renomeada Acer ou Acer Group em 1987. A linha de produtos inclui, por exemplo, laptops, tablets, smartphones, desktops, monitores, TVs e periféricos de computador. Desde 2007, o grupo se fundiu com a Gateway Inc. e a Packard Bell, que também comercializam suas próprias linhas de laptops.
Os computadores Acer são projetados para uma variedade de finalidades, incluindo ultrabooks para uso móvel, laptops para jogos, opções acessíveis para tarefas diárias e laptops conversíveis 2 em 1 para versatilidade. O portfólio de produtos da Acer também inclui tablets que oferecem computação portátil e recursos multimídia.
Muitos jogos são dificilmente executados com estes adaptadores gráficos ou se executam muito lentamente.
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 3150: Placa de vídeo integrada (memória compartilhada) nos CPUs Atom N4xx da Intel. Minimamente mais veloz que uma antiga GMA 950 e, portanto, não é adequada para jogos 3D ou vídeos HD (somente aceleração MPEG2).

Intel Atom: A série Atom da Intel é um microprocessador de 64 Bits para portáteis pequenos e baratos, MIDs, ou UMPCs. A especialidade de sua nova arquitetura é a execução “in order” (ao inves de a usual mais rápida execução “out of order”). Assim, o trabalho do transistor é bem mais baixo na série Atom, e é mais barato para produzir.
N550: O Atom Dual core com um TDP de apenas 8,5 Watts. Devido à baixa freqüência de 1,5 GHz, às vezes pode ser ainda mais lento que um CPU ATOM N465.
N450: O CPU Intel Atom para Netbooks com controlador integrado de memória e GPU GMA 3150. O desempenho do sistema deve ser somente minimamente mais veloz que a combinação anterior Atom N280 / GMA 950.
