The Fujitsu LifeBook A6030 stands out from the pack by featuring a speedy Intel Next Generation Centrino Duo processor (a first for the "A" series), excellent wireless performance, and Fujitsu's unique Point-and-Write technology that adds Tablet PC functionality to the Touchpad. Priced at $1,349, the A6030 is an excellent productivity machine, but we wish it weighed less and lasted longer on a charge.
Weighing in at a hefty 6.6 pounds, the A6030 sports a plain metallic-gray color and a spacious, spill-resistant keyboard that makes typing a smooth, pleasurable experience. Above the keyboard are two quick-launch buttons, My Home and Web Search, for quickly accessing a user-defined homepage and search engine. Adjacent to these are two volume keys and three additional programmable buttons that come premapped to boot up Calculator, Notepad, and Windows Mobility Center.

You can use the Fujitsu LifeBook A6030's Touchpad as a pointer and as a small writing pad. It won't replace a full-size tablet screen, but it's great for occasionally storing quick handwritten notes or drawings.
Although the dark-silver Fujitsu LifeBook A6030's battery life is disappointingly short, the unit is generously equipped for the price. The optional dual-purpose Touchpad, which Fujitsu calls the Point and Write Pad, is the Fujitsu LifeBook A6030's most interesting feature. It lets you write handwritten notes within an area of the Touchpad, using the bundled stylus and pen-input software. What you write appears on an input line on the notebook's screen. (Unlike a tablet PC, the Fujitsu LifeBook A6030 doesn't have a screen that you can write on.) We found that taking notes was laborious at first;

The boxy, slate-gray Fujitsu LifeBook A6030 didn't exactly catch our eye when it rolled into our offices. But after spending a little time with the machine, we found something in the laptop to please every type of user. The laptop's 15.4-inch display is a delight for movie-watchers (though the reflective screen coating might turn off some users), and its full-size keyboard will please productivity hounds. Tech fiends will be fascinated (or possibly confounded) by the A6030's unique touch pad, while speed demons will appreciate the laptop's competitive benchmark performance. And accounting types will love that the $1,449 LifeBook A6030 costs less than similar systems, such as the HP Pavilion dv6500t and the Sony VAIO FZ180E. The LifeBook A6030 is not without flaws--for example, it lacks a Webcam for video chats and its battery life, while acceptable, could be longer.

Compared with the rounded edges and glossy black exteriors of other laptops in our sub-$1,000 roundup, the Fujitsu LifeBook A6110 looks decidedly square. We're willing to look past the boxy design--indeed, we have in the past--because the LifeBook A series offers one of the most thorough feature sets available in a mainstream laptop. But you'll have to look past more than square edges with the $999 LifeBook A6110; the laptop's scores on our performance benchmarks ranged from top of its class to bottom of the pile, and it barely survived an hour and a half on our battery drain tests. If you have $1,000 to spend and want a sleekly designed laptop, look to the Gateway M-1618 or the Sony VAIO CR120; if you want the fastest performance of our low-cost systems, look to the Lenovo 3000 N200.

There’s much to like about the Fujitsu LifeBook A6120. It offers good speed for the price, strong Wi-Fi performance, a spacious hard drive, and more durability features than you’d find on most budget notebooks. For the same price, though, the 14.1-inch Gateway T-6828 offers a slimmer, more stylish design, a larger hard drive, 802.11n wireless, and comparable performance, though you’ll give up some screen real estate. If you want a larger screen, the A6120 is a strong contender.

The Fujitsu LifeBook A6120 ($1,369 direct, as tested) is a classic mainstream laptop, geared toward general-purpose users with a sensible spending limit. It comes with Intel 's newest-generation processor (code-named Penryn), an abundance of RAM, and features few can complain about. Furthermore, Fujitsu 's direct channel, where customers can add and subtract features as they please, is as intuitive as buying a laptop from Dell 's or HP's Web site. It's not the sexiest mainstream laptop, but the A6120 goes with Intel's latest technology and has a wide selection of features.

Overall, the Fujitsu LifeBook A6120 is a solid notebook with good performance and some nice features. The abundance of USB ports and the combionation of a PC Card slot and ExpressCard slot mean this notebook has plenty of room for external expansion. Although the A6120 isn't a gaming machine, the Penryn processor can handle everyday computing tasks with ease. If the awkward speaker placement and overall thickness and weight don't bother you then this notebook makes an excellent choice. In short, the LifeBook A6120 is a dependable workhorse of a notebook but lacks the flashy features found on most consumer notebooks.

Fujitsu-Siemens: FSC é um dos maiores fabricantes internacionais com cota especialmente alta de mercados da Alemanha. Nos paises de língua alemã, muitos modelos de portáteis de FSC são analisados. Somente alguns destes portáteis atingiram posições altas de acordo com as classificações totais e avaliações de preço/valor.
Estes processadores gráficos podem mostrar fluidamente só jogos antigos. Jogos atuais só podem ser apresentados com detalhes substancialmente reduzidos.
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) X3100: Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) X3100 é um chip de vídeo integrado (incorporado) num chipset de Mobile Intel 965GM (para Merom =Core 2 arquitetura). É a sucessora da GMA 950. O mais interessante é a integração de um pipeline completamente programável. Devido à integração de características Direct X9, HDR e Hardware Transform & Lighning (T&L) – sua predecessora só tinha Software T&L – deveria estar pronta para Windows Vista Premium (suporte Aero Glass completamente). Com respeito aos dados, o desempenho deve ser claramente melhor al de GMA 950.
Estas placas também devem ser capazes de agüentar todos os jogos atuais, mas a maioria deles em configurações de detalhes médios e baixos e com baixas resoluções. Jogos mais antigos, ou menos exigentes ainda podem ser jogados com boa qualidade de gráficos.
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 4500MHD: GPU integrado (memória compartilhada) no chipset GM45 (Montevina). Graças a dois shaders a mais e uma freqüência de núcleo mais alta, é muito mais rápido que o antigo GMA X3100. Mesmo assim, não é recomendável para jogadores (jogos DirectX 10 não são fluidos e podem ser jogados somente com configurações muito baixas). O processador de vídeo integrado é capaz de ajudar a decodificar vídeos HD (AVC/VC-2/MPEG2), como para uma reprodução fluida de Blu-Ray com CPUs lentos.

Intel Core 2 Duo: Este é o sucessor do Core Duo e o Core Solo com um pipeline mais longo e com 5-20% a mais de velocidade sem maior consumo de energia. Adicionalmente ao design do Core Duo existe um quarto decodificador, uma unidade SSE ampliada e uma unidade lógica aritmética (ALU) adicional.
Os Core 2 Duo para notebooks são idênticos aos processadores Core 2 Duo para desktops, mas os processadores para notebooks trabalham com tensões mais baixas e um Frontside bus clock mais baixo. O desempenho de notebooks igualmente clocked é 20-25% mais baixo que PCs Desktop por causa do Frontside bus clock mais baixo e os discos rígidos mais lentos.
