Depending on how long you plan on keeping the XPS14 and how easy or hard you are on, you may want to invest in the 'Best' just in case you accidentally throw it across the parking lot.

All in all, the Dell XPS 14 is an interesting laptop. Like most XPSs, build quality and aesthetics are some of its greatest assets, next to the comfortable keyboard and trackpad. But then again, so does the price and the screen is for sure something Dell should have taken better care of, as it’s just not good enough for a laptop in this price range.

Dell's XPS 14 features an Ivy Bridge processor and discrete graphics, which make it quite powerful for its form factor. It's a decent Ultrabook overall, but not without its problems. Consider it if you want a relatively mobile laptop with good overall performance and battery life, and business features such as TPM and Gigabit Ethernet.
