To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. O CAT S61 é, naturalmente, um especialista. Com seu exterior robusto e as funcionalidades adicionais muito específicas, não é realmente um smartphone para qualquer um. Mas quem geralmente usa uma câmera de imagem térmica pode aproveitar a solução integrada. A medição de distância via laser também funciona bem, mesmo que não seja tão fluente quanto um dispositivo dedicado. 

Qualquer pessoa atraída pela medição de distância a laser, medição da qualidade do ar e uma câmera de imagem térmica terá uma ferramenta versátil em suas mãos com o CAT S61.
