A Dell continua fiel a sua filosofia e não renuncia a nenhum recurso para o sucessor para os Ultrabooks empresariais. O aparelho de 14-polegadas é bem construído e suficientemente capaz para o campo empresarial, bem como qualquer outra tarefa prática. Isto exclui a tela refletiva, que produzirá perturbantes reflexos sob a luz do sol. O painel WQHD convence com excelentes especificações, em compensação, que são muito convincentes em interiores. Ótimos dispositivos de entrada são obrigatórios para um Latitude de gama alta, e o E7470 não decepciona. O mesmo se aplica para o gerenciamento e segurança: Raramente um portátil possui tantos recursos de segurança (opcionais). A capacidade de manutenção também merece ser elogiada; remova apenas a tampa inferior e terá acesso a todos os componentes.

A única desvantagem é a duração, não foi possível mais de 5:46 em nosso teste de Wi-Fi. Isto não combina nada com as altas expectativas ou com o alto preço de 2.300 Euros (~$2620). As versões com telas HD ou FHD deveriam ter um pouco mais de estamina com base em nossas experiências com configurações 4K e FHD do mesmo modelo.

Provavelmente a melhor alternativa seja o HP EliteBook Folio 1040 G2, mas inclusive a versão com um painel mate FHD custa 200-300 Euros (~$227-~$341) a mais. A duração da bateria é melhor,mas o Folio 1040 G2 oferece menos portas, em compensação. A versão IGP do Lenovo ThinkPad T450s interessante se quiser economizar um pouco de dinheiro; a configuração similar começa em cerca de 1.850 Euros (~$2107). A razão de preço-desempenho entre o E7470 e T450s é, de fato, similar quando compara as versões mate FHD.
