O MateBook 16s já está à venda em Portugal por 1699€ a versão i7 e 1899€ a versão i9, e certamente não será para todos, mas não está a tentar ser para todos. Para aqueles que precisam do espaço extra do ecrã, a visualização 3:2 aqui será uma grande ponto a favor dos 16s. É expansivo, bem proporcionado, e cuidadosamente calibrado por cores, e é certamente um dos maiores e melhores ecrãs disponíveis a este preço. O desempenho da CPU é também excepcional graças aos chips da série H de 12ª geração da Intel, o que faz deste um computador pontente. A falta de uma opção de GPU dedicada irá inegavelmente limitar o apelo a editores de vídeo profissionais ou a qualquer pessoa que deseje usar isto para jogar, mas não descarte desde já os gráficos integrados do Iris Xe, já que fornece um exclenete bastante para trabalho de escritório e mesmo edição de fotos e design gráfico mais leve.

I have used my fair share of Huawei laptops and I have to say that the MateBook 16s is one of my favourites. I really enjoy the large screen, as it allows me to have multiple tabs open at once to work, and it performs great when I want to binge Netflix and YouTube after work. The 12th-Gen Intel H-Series processor is also ridiculously fast for a laptop in this price range, proving itself in the speedy load-up times and ability to run multiple software and apps at once without faltering. This does come at the price of the battery, which isn’t the best I’ve seen, but can be solved as long as you’re near to a plug socket. In my opinion, this is the best 16-inch laptop you can get from Huawei right now, and I would implore anyone interested in a large-screened machine to give this one a chance.

For a go-anywhere machine with a sizeable screen, the MateBook 16S hits a lot of the right notes. It’s well-built, has a colourful display, and can be equipped with the kind of power that would embarrass many desktop PCs. At £1499 for an M1 MacBook-baiting Core i9 model, it also looks like stonkingly good value for anyone that can take advantage of all that CPU muscle. In real-world use though, the chip is rarely able to fully flex its muscles. Anyone in need of so much power will probably also want a dedicated GPU, which isn’t an option here. That makes the i7 version our laptop of choice – it’s still mighty quick, and matches the i9 version everywhere else. Creatives that need more than Photoshop might be underwhelmed, but the Matebook 16S absolutely earns a place on the shortlist for other workers that aren’t chained to an office desk.

Despite only spending a short time with the Huawei MateBook 16s, I thought it was a solid laptop and ideal choice for anyone looking to engage in entry-level creative work on a large screen. The large 16-inch screen looked bright and vibrant, making it ideal for photo editing, multitasking ands even Netflix binigng sessions. I do think the starting price of £1299.99 is a little steep given the lack of a discrete GPU, but the 12th-Gen H-Series Intel processor and Intel Evo certification should make it a speedy device that I would expect can breeze though productivity tasks. While I wouldn’t recommend it to any professional or gamer seeing a high-end graphics performance, I think it will work well for anyone after a large portable device with generous screen space.

The MateBook 16s certainly won’t be for everyone, but it’s not trying to be. Although Huawei has tried its best to keep things trim, most people don’t need a laptop this big or bulky, and will be better off with smaller alternatives. For those who need the extra screen space, the 3:2 display here will be a big part of the 16s’s draw. It’s expansive, well proportioned, and carefully colour-calibrated, and is certainly one of the biggest and best displays available at the price. CPU performance is also exceptional thanks to Intel’s 12th-gen H-series chips, making this a powerful performer. The lack of a dedicated GPU option will undeniably limit the appeal to serious video editors or anyone hoping to use this to game, but don’t write off the integrated Iris Xe graphics, which provide plenty of oomph for office work and even photo editing and graphic design. If you want a 4K OLED panel or an Nvidia RTX GPU then the MateBook 16s won’t be for you – but then nothing at this price point will be. But with plenty of power in a relatively compact chassis, and all at a competitive price...

The large touch display is great and responsive and there's plenty of punch in terms of colours, while the surrounding slim bezels make for a lovely viewing experience. Whilst we couldn't test the performance of the MateBook 16s during our brief time with it, it's certainly a device we are looking forward to trying out properly.

Estas placas também devem ser capazes de agüentar todos os jogos atuais, mas a maioria deles em configurações de detalhes médios e baixos e com baixas resoluções. Jogos mais antigos, ou menos exigentes ainda podem ser jogados com boa qualidade de gráficos.

i7-12700H:
