While the keyboard was great for typing emails, it’s not ideal for heavy work. My main issue was the trackpad — though roomy, it often disrupted productivity by making text selection difficult and frequently triggered unintended shortcuts, like accidental screenshots. The keyboard’s stability also needs improvement; it still connects via pogo pins, which work well on a desk but feel unstable on your lap. Thankfully, Bluetooth support lets you detach and use it wirelessly. The OnePlus Pad 3 is even better suited for binge-watching, reading, streaming music, and light multitasking than before. The improved software update policy also makes it more future-proof. Software limitations prevent it from being a true laptop replacement or productivity powerhouse, but then again, few tablets are.

As someone who has sworn by iPads and iPadOS for over a decade now, consider me pleasantly surprised to discover just how much fun it is to use the OnePlus Pad 3. For my particular use case, as someone who likes to use tablet computers for a mix of productivity during the day and catching up on YouTube and Netflix in my spare time, the Pad 3 provided me with quality of life features I didn’t even know I needed. Smart suggestions from Open Canvas that let you split-screen apps in seconds, not to mention having up to three apps open at once with extra capacity for apps sitting in a floating window, all add up to a great experience that’s further emboldened by a bright screen and fantastic battery life.

To conclude, the OnePlus Pad 3 is an interesting tablet. The sleek and premium design is sure to be one major selling point, while the big-screen experience will be enjoyable for movie buffs. The addition of the flagship Qualcomm chipset and new AI features means the OnePlus Pad 3 surely has enough arsenal to challenge the Samsung and Apple tablet lineup.

So, is the Pad 3 the right Android tablet to buy? I believe yes, but before I can say that with emphasis I would need to know the price of the Pad 3 in India. And that price has not been revealed yet by OnePlus. The tablet is going on sale globally, however, from today and it has been priced at Euros 599. If that is indeed the price, in India you can expect it to land somewhere around Rs 55,000 when it goes on sale later in a few weeks. If that is indeed the price, I have no hesitation in recommending the OnePlus Pad 3 as the best Android tablet to buy in India. Sure, it is missing a few tricks. But for that it more than makes up for it by offering solid performance, a good design, usable software, a fantastic screen and great battery life. In other words, it ticks all the right boxes. Now let’s hope it ticks the price box too in the right way.

If you're an Apple person, you may not be looking for an Android tablet, but if you are, definitely look at the OnePlus Pad 3. It's the closest to an iPad killer that I've ever seen, and at the price—$700, it's definitely a bit cheaper than the iPad Pro with many of the same features. For everyone else, this is the Android tablet to have. The combination of high-quality design, affordability, and functionality makes the OnePlus Pad 3 the tablet of the year. Add in the OnePlus Stylo 2—$100—and you've got a system that could easily replace most Chromebooks, with a whole lot more flexibility. Pricing on the cases is also affordable.

I’m not convinced that the extra bulk helps the OnePlus Pad 3 market itself as a laptop replacement but, as a powerful and versatile Android tablet, it absolutely knocks it out of the park. The Snapdragon 8 Elite is as nippy here as on the best smartphones, the display is a little brighter and more colour-accurate than before and the bigger battery delivers some excellent stamina. Software support could be better – Samsung still reigns supreme here – and I’d have loved to see OnePlus commit to an OLED screen, but otherwise, there’s very little to dislike about the OnePlus Pad 3. If you’re an Android fan and you watched the iPad Air (2025) launch with envious eyes, this is the tablet for you.

The OnePlus Pad 3 does a lot of things right. It has a dazzling display, a powerful processor, solid battery life, and allows for some level of cross-platform integration with Apple and Microsoft devices. On the other hand, the tablet is lacking in AI functionality and a waterproof rating, and we would like to see a stylus included at this price. While the Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ isn't as powerful, it's fully waterproof, comes with a stylus, offers more AI, and will receive twice as many OS updates, so it edges out the OnePlus Pad 3 as our Editors' Choice.

The OnePlus Pad 3 is one of the best Android tablets available today. It boasts a gorgeous 13.2-inch display, speedy Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, 256GB base storage, plenty of RAM, quality speakers, massive battery with 80W fast charging, and a pleasant user experience thanks to Open Canvas – all wrapped in a slim, premium package that costs just $699. That’s $200 less than Apple’s 256GB iPad Air 13 and $400 less than Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra. The OnePlus Pad 3 is not perfect, however. The cameras don’t live up to the competition, and the optional Smart Keyboard isn’t backlit. But ultimately, these are minor niggles. With the Pad 3, OnePlus has managed to give Samsung a run for its money by making a competitive and arguably better tablet for less. If you’re shopping for a flagship Android tablet with few compromises and superb value, we highly recommend you check out the OnePlus Pad 3.

The OnePlus Pad 3 is absolutely one of the best and most polished premium Android tablets around. From its sharp, massive display and powerful performance to the useful accessories and welcome AI features, it covers all the bases for both play and productivity. There are still some minor quirks, such as the imposing weight and the Stylo 2 pen, which is in need of a revamp, but the value proposition is definitely strong here, especially at the price of $699. If you want a big-screen Android tablet with flagship power and smart extras, the OnePlus Pad 3 belongs at the top of your list.

The OnePlus Pad 3 will be available from OnePlus.com, Best Buy, and in the OnePlus Store on Amazon for $699.99. I don't hate it at that price, but it's $150 more expensive than the Pad 2. I think you're getting enough value at this price point, but that's only because last year's Pad 2 was a steal. As usual OnePlus has a number of launch deals and trade-in deals — too many to list here. For a limited time, when you preorder the OnePlus Pad 3, you can get up to two free gifts in either the Keyboard, Stylo, or Folio, which softens the blow of the keyboard not shipping in the box, but seriously — this is a message to all "productivity tablet" makers: it's not a productivity tablet if the keyboard isn't in the box.

It’s hard to think of anything more I’d want from an Android tablet than this, regardless of price. The OnePlus Pad 3 is brilliantly well-rounded, with the sort of performance to handle just about any task, top-tier accessories that make it a proper productivity machine, and battery life that’s basically unrivalled. You could argue an OLED display would be the icing on the cake, but I honestly don’t feel it’s needed here. The Pad 3’s screen is a stunner in every respect. It’s as slim and easy on the eyes as an iPad Air, and a lot more wallet-friendly than any of Samsung’s big screen Android slates. For some creative types it’ll be the operating system that’s the limiting factor, with fewer apps than Apple. But if Android meets your needs and you want a tablet that can truly do it all, look no further.

OnePlus proves it deserves to be considered the top Android tablet maker for another year as the Pad 3 refines its best features even further. If OnePlus could have fought off the necessity for a price increase and added fingerprint or facial recognition security, this would have been nigh on perfect. But as it stands, the still competitive price only makes the beefy performance, big and bright screen, and long-lasting battery even more appealing.

If you want a mid-range Android tablet that feels like a flagship, yes. For many people, the OnePlus Pad 3 offers everything most people are looking for in a slate. OnePlus has absolutely nailed the fundamentals here, with incredible performance, a stunning display and some of the best battery life I’ve ever seen on a tablet. You also get a flagship design and useful software features to help you make the most out of that big screen. However, it’s not perfect. While security updates will continue for six years, OnePlus’ commitment to major OS updates is half that. There’s also no official water or dust resistance, while the optional keyboard cover could do with some improvement. But considering its price point, the OnePlus Pad 3 is still a superb buy that’s easy to recommend.

OnePlus has struck gold with the OnePlus Pad 3; it offers a premium design with a large screen that’s ideal for both binge-watching movies and multitasking, solid battery life that seems to keep on going and support for high-end accessories that turn the tablet into a laptop replacement. But for me, it’s the sheer performance of the OnePlus Pad 3 that makes it stand out. The Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset offers incredible year-on-year performance gains, with the Pad 3 outpacing not only top-end Android tablets like the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra, but even some iPads. It’s not quite outpacing the M3 iPad Air, but it’s not that far off either – and we’ve never seen that from an Android tablet before. Throw in great software tailored to the tablet experience, with handy additions like the ability to remotely access your Mac from the tablet, and you’ve got a remarkably impressive tablet, considering its £529/$699 price tag. For most people, this is the best Android tablet to buy.
