Case e conectividade - O B3 com Thunderbolt 4 e Power Delivery

O senhor procurará em vão por materiais de alta qualidade: o estojo bem feito é feito de plástico preto fosco com superfícies lisas. A unidade de base e a tampa podem ser ligeiramente torcidas, mas isso não é nada fora do comum. As dobradiças bem ajustadas permitem que a tampa tenha um ângulo máximo de abertura de 180 graus. A bateria e outros componentes internos podem ser acessados após a remoção da placa de base.

O laptop possui duas portas USB-A (USB 3.2 Gen 2) e duas portas USB-C (1x Thunderbolt 4, 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2). As duas últimas suportam Power Delivery e a porta TB4 também pode emitir um sinal DisplayPort. Isso significa que o B3 tem um total de duas saídas de vídeo (HDMI, DP). Ele não tem um leitor de cartão SD. Sua webcam (0,9 MP) não se destaca da multidão, mas pelo menos tem uma cobertura mecânica.

Em condições ideais (sem dispositivos WLAN nas proximidades, curta distância entre o laptop e o PC servidor), ele alcançou taxas de dados WiFi muito boas. O B3 usa um chip WiFi 6E (Intel AX211). As conexões com fio são feitas por um controlador da Intel (I219-LM; 1 GBit/s). Há variantes da série ExpertBook que vêm equipadas com um modem LTE (modelo B3404CMA).

Dispositivos de entrada - O laptop de negócios apresenta um teclado com luz de fundo

As teclas côncavas do teclado chiclet (retroiluminação de um nível, protegida contra respingos de água) apresentam uma elevação média e um ponto de pressão claro. Em nossa opinião, a resistência das teclas poderia ser um pouco mais nítida. Uma leve flexão do teclado não foi um problema para nós. Pontos negativos: As teclas de seta e a tecla Enter são um pouco pequenas. Um clickpad habilitado para multitoque (aprox. 13 x 8,2 cm) serve como substituto do mouse e apresenta uma elevação curta e um ponto de pressão claro.

Tela - painel 16:10 com baixa cobertura de espaço de cores

A Asus equipou esse ExpertBook com uma tela fosca de 14 polegadas (1.920 x 1.200 pixels) que apresenta uma proporção de 16:10, ideal para o trabalho. Bom: Não notamos nenhuma oscilação de PWM. O brilho e o contraste não atingiram seus respectivos valores-alvo (> 300 cd/m² e 1.000:1). Como alternativa, o senhor pode selecionar o B3 com um painel mais brilhante de 500 nits (2.560 x 1.600 pixels). Ambos os monitores também podem ser selecionados opcionalmente como telas sensíveis ao toque.

Assim que sai da caixa, a tela mostra as cores de forma aceitável: Entretanto, com um desvio de cerca de 5,5, sua meta (DeltaE < 3) não foi atingida. A calibração da tela reduz esse valor para 3,9 e resulta em tons de cinza mais equilibrados. Condições de teste

O senhor pode alternar entre os três modos de ventoinha específicos do fabricante (consulte a tabela) usando a combinação de teclas "Fn" + "F". Processador

O Core i7-1355Uos 10 núcleos de CPU do Core i7-1355U (2P, 8E) atingem taxas de clock máximas de 5 GHz (P) e 3,7 GHz (E). A carga contínua de vários threads (CB15 Loop) fez com que sua taxa de clock caísse ligeiramente da primeira para a segunda e novamente da vigésima primeira para a vigésima segunda execução. Depois disso, foi mantido um nível constante em cada caso. Observamos valores de benchmark acima da média anterior da CPU (conectada à rede elétrica). No modo de bateria, o desempenho do single-thread e do multi-thread caiu pela metade.

Placa de vídeo

Na atual linha de GPUs RTX da Nvidia, a GeForce RTX 2050 (2.048 shaders, barramento de 64 bits, 4 GB GDDR6, ray-tracing, DLSS) está perto do fim em termos de desempenho. A Asus atribuiu a ela um TGP de 40 watts. Seus resultados de benchmark e taxas de quadros ficaram ligeiramente acima da média da GPU. A GPU permite jogos em FHD em configurações baixas a altas. Os jogos menos exigentes permitem mais. Os jogos atuais geralmente exigem que as configurações sejam reduzidas.

O TravelMate e o ThinkPad estão equipados com iGPUs que não se comparam à RTX 2050. A clara diferença se deve ao fato de a RAM ser executada no modo de canal único. A instalação de um segundo módulo de memória proporcionaria a ambos os computadores resultados significativamente melhores. Apesar de ter a mesma GPU, o ProBook também não consegue acompanhar o B3 - a HP definiu seu TGP para 30 watts.

Emissões de ruído

No uso diário, a ventoinha é bastante inativa, muitas vezes ficando completamente parada. Sob carga, as emissões de ruído do laptop aumentam consideravelmente: Observamos níveis de ruído de até 49,3 dB(A), mas, em média, não é tão alto. O uso do modo Whisper reduz as emissões totais de ruído - ao custo de algum desempenho de computação.

Em geral, o ruído da ventoinha pode ser bem tolerado, especialmente em velocidades de rotação baixas e médias. Ela não emite nenhum som irritante. Ponto negativo: Às vezes, notamos um som de crepitação eletrônica vindo das entranhas do laptop - presumivelmente, é o SSD.

Sob carga (teste de estresse, Witcher 3 teste), o computador não esquenta muito. Ocasionalmente, medimos valores em torno da faixa inferior de 40 graus Celsius. No uso diário (escritório, Internet), seus valores permanecem na zona verde.

Nosso cenário de teste de estresse extremo (Prime95 e Furmark em operação contínua) verifica a estabilidade do sistema sob carga total. As tarefas de escritório e de Internet são uma brincadeira de criança para a combinação instalada que consiste em um Core i7-1355U e 32 GB de RAM (canal duplo). Os aplicativos que exigem GPU e os jogos se beneficiam da GeForce RTX 2050. Um SSD veloz de 1 TB garante tempos de carregamento curtos.

O ExpertBook B3 B3404CVF da Asus é um dispositivo de trabalho completo para empresas, organizações e instituições educacionais.

O laptop é portátil graças ao seu peso moderado (aprox. 1,65 kg) e bons tempos de execução (WiFi aprox. 11 h). Duas portas USB-C permitem a fácil integração com as configurações existentes no local de trabalho. Além disso, elas podem ser usadas para fornecer energia ao dispositivo e abrem opções de expansão adicionais (tela, dock, GPU externa).

Para um laptop compacto com uma GPU dedicada, seus valores de emissão são aceitáveis. Sua tela 16:10 WUXGA (IPS, 14 polegadas) instalada oferece apenas uma cobertura limitada do espaço de cores e seu contraste permanece abaixo do valor desejado (> 1.000:1). Opcionalmente, o senhor pode selecionar um painel nominalmente melhor de 500 nit (WQXGA) da Asus, que cobre o espaço de cores DCI-P3.

Uma alternativa ao B3 poderia ser o Lenovo ThinkPad L14 G4. Esse laptop oferece melhores tempos de execução, mas seu desempenho fica atrás do ExpertBook. O L14 não vem com Thunderbolt 4, USB 4 ou uma dGPU.
