Nossa análise mostra claramente que, ter um design de portátil existente e trocando a CPU Intel por uma AMD Ryzen 5 2500U não dá certo. Se a Lenovo tivesse gasto algum tempo e esforço para adaptar a solução de resfriamento à nova CPU AMD, o IdeaPad 720s baseado em Ryzen poderia ter se tornado uma verdadeira alternativa aos processadores Core da 8ª geração da Intel.

O IdeaPad 720s baseado em AMD é um portátil sólido e poderoso, frustrado pela solução de resfriamento terrivelmente pobre e inadequada.

Ainda assim, o SKU AMD analisado do IdeaPad 720 da Lenovo continua a ser um portátil de escritório decente com poder suficiente para tarefas diárias de escritório e desafios multimídia básicos. Esperávamos um melhor desempenho do que o oferecido pelo SKU Intel, recentemente revisado; infelizmente, foi vítima da falha da Lenovo em adaptar o dispositivo à CPU da AMD corretamente.
