Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

In comparison: 53 % of all tested devices do not use PWM to dim the display. If PWM was detected, an average of 18110 (minimum: 5 - maximum: 3846000) Hz was measured.

Nossos resultados de teste iniciais sugerem uma atualização bastante menor. O novo processador Kaby Lake da Intel é um pouco mais rápido do que seu antecessor e pode manter o desempenho por longos períodos, mas isso não justifica uma atualização para os proprietários do modelo 2016.

A tela mais uma vez deixa uma excelente impressão. A Apple confirma claramente sua reivindicação de fornecer as melhores telas no mercado.

Vamos completar a análise nos próximos dias e verificar se a Apple resolveu os problemas do antecessor (problemas de WLAN com dispositivos USB-C anexados). Fique ligado!
