O Dell Latitude 12 E5270 é um portátil empresarial com muitos recursos de segurança que frequentemente podem ser decisivos para a compra. Os novos processadores Skylake conseguiram aumentar um pouco o desempenho em comparação com o predecessor. A duração da bateria também melhorou graças a uma bateria um pouco mais potente. O preço de 1295 Euros (~$1449) para o nosso modelo de teste ultrapassa claramente o limite de 1000-Euros (~$1119). Por isso, o preço definitivamente não é uma barganha para um aparelho de 12,5-polegadas. No entanto, o portátil apresenta uma construção impecável e rígida. Além disso, tudo é feito para a longevidade  e a seleção de recursos de segurança é vasto. As interfaces se posicionam de forma sensata e é possível expandi-las com uma estação docking. Os compradores começaram a apreciar estes pequenos detalhes e que também estejam preparados para investir dinheiro por eles. Apenas o nome da linha Latitude significa qualidade e boa construção.

No entanto, a primeira impressão muito boa é claramente marcada pela pobre qualidade do painel.

Temos que mencionar alguns pontos de crítica aqui. A tela, que é totalmente obsoleta, não é apta para um portátil empresarial desta faixa de preços, embora a fabricante ofereça melhores alternativas por um cargo. O baixo brilho da tela torna difícil trabalhar em ambientes iluminados. Desejaríamos um SSD veloz como armazenamento do sistema para um portátil empresarial. Os preços dos SSDs caíram drasticamente recentemente, diminuindo cada vez mais a diferença de preços com os discos rígidos convencionais.

Também gostamos da carcaça básica, fina e rígida. O desempenho de cômputo do Intel Core i5-6300U é definitivamente suficiente para tarefas rotineiras. Também podemos confirmar os bons dispositivos de entrada, como o touchpad e teclado. Este último também possui uma luz de fundo com dois níveis de brilho.
