This laptop has a striking, sensible design and faster gaming performance than some of its closest competitors. Its battery life is short, and the screen is dull, but these issues aren't new to the budget gaming category. The bigger problem with the Cyborg 15 is that cheaper systems have shown faster performance.

Despite relying on a single-fan cooling system, the laptop keeps both the CPU and GPU running incredibly cool, even during sustained gaming sessions. This ensures a stable and reliable performance profile with no thermal throttling, a commendable feat for a budget machine. We also appreciate the unique, translucent design, which gives the laptop a distinct personality that is rare in this price bracket. The upgradeability is solid where it counts, offering two user-accessible RAM slots for future memory expansion. The inclusion of a physical privacy shutter for the webcam is a welcome touch for security, and the keyboard is comfortable with a vibrant 4-zone RGB backlight. Finally, the display on our unit is completely PWM-free, which is a significant benefit for eye comfort during long gaming marathons.
