Assim como Morefine ou MinisForum, Nofflink é um fabricante chinês de sistemas especializado em mini PCs compactos. A série M500 da Nofflink é destinada aos usuários de escritório. Estojo e características

O Nofflink M500 consiste principalmente de alumínio, o que torna o dispositivo muito rígido. Quando se trata das interfaces externas, o Nofflink M500 oferece muitas opções para periféricos externos. Há um total de seis portas USB tipo A e uma porta USB tipo C. Como o nome sugere, o Nofflink M500-5405U utiliza um Intel Pentium Gold 5405U. O SoC de 15 watts faz parte da família Whiskey Lake-U e oferece dois núcleos físicos, que podem processar até quatro fios simultaneamente em até 2,3 GHz.

Em uma comparação direta, os inconvenientes do SoC nativo de núcleo duplo se tornam aparentes. Em nosso benchmark sintético PCMark 10, o Nofflink M500 atinge pontuações bastante decentes apesar de seu fraco SoC. No entanto, ele cai no terço mais baixo dos dispositivos em nossa comparação. Temperatura

Nossos testes iniciais de carga resultam em uma impressão favorável do resfriamento do SoC. Dito isto, a solução de resfriamento do Intel Pentium Gold 5405U está em seu limite em nosso cenário de carga extrema. A HWiNFO relata estrangulamento térmico, sugerindo que a Nofflink definiu a temperatura máxima do SoC em torno de 80 °C (176 °F). Sem limites estabelecidos pelo fabricante, o Intel Pentium Gold 5405U permite até 100 °C (212 °F). Em média, o relógio da CPU quando tanto a CPU quanto o iGPU estão estressados cai para apenas 1,2 GHz. Isto é resultado do orçamento limitado de energia de 10 watts, que a CPU e o iGPU têm que compartilhar.

Como a caixa aquece visivelmente sob carga, ela deve ser colocada em uma área bem ventilada para permitir que o calor escape.
