O caderno bastante leve (aproximadamente 1,8 kg/~4 lb) não revela nenhuma falha de fabricação. A tampa e a unidade base podem ser um pouco torcidas - tudo isso está completamente dentro dos limites. As entranhas são acessíveis após a remoção da unidade base. O Asus conta com um chassi de metal preto mate com superfícies baças.

A B5 oferece duas portas USB-A (1x USB 3.2 Gen 2, 1x USB 2.0) e duas portas USB-C (2x Thunderbolt 4; Power Delivery, Displayport). Até 3 monitores externos (1x HDMI, 2x DP) podem ser conectados. O leitor de cartão de memória microSD (cartão de referência: AV PRO microSD 128 GB V60) é um dos modelos mais lentos. Bom: A webcam (2,1 MP, máx. 1.920 x 1.080 pixels) tem uma tampa mecânica.

As taxas de transferência WLAN determinadas sob condições ótimas (nenhum outro dispositivo WLAN nas proximidades, distância curta entre o notebook e o PC do servidor) se revelam excelentes.

Dispositivos de entrada - Asus dá ao B5 Flip um Estilos Ativo

As teclas do teclado chiclet iluminado à prova de respingos oferecem um curso médio e um ponto de pressão claro. A resistência das teclas é boa. O rendimento mínimo do teclado, na melhor das hipóteses, não se mostrou irritante. Em suma, é um teclado adequado para o uso diário.

A superfície lisa do clickpad multi-touch capaz (aproximadamente 15 x 9,1 cm/~5,9 x 3,6 pol.) facilita o deslizamento dos dedos. O tapete responde às entradas nos cantos, tem um curso curto e oferece um ponto de pressão claro.

A superfície fosca-refletiva (revestimento AntiGlare) da tela OLED de 16 polegadas (3.840 x 2.400 pixels) no formato 16:10, de fácil manuseio, reduz significativamente os reflexos, mas não os impede completamente.

Como é típico dos OLEDs, o painel brilha com um excelente contraste e valor negro. Entretanto, ele também pontua com tempos de resposta curtos e brilho máximo relativamente alto.

O brilho é regulado pelo escurecimento de faixas individuais dentro do conteúdo da tela exibida. No caso do painel B5, isto acontece com uma freqüência bastante baixa de 240 Hz em níveis de brilho ≤ 50 por cento. Este efeito é semelhante ao conhecido PWM cintilante, mas não é diretamente comparável.

Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

Condições de teste

É possível alternar entre os três modos de ventiladores específicos do fabricante (ver tabela) através da combinação de teclas "Fn" + "F". Foram utilizados o "modo de desempenho" (benchmarks) e o "modo sussurro" (teste de bateria). O primeiro está disponível somente em operação de rede elétrica. Os modos influenciam a performance da CPU e da GPU.

Processador

O Núcleo i7-1260P-O processador (Alder Lake) consiste em quatro núcleos de desempenho (hiperthreading, 2,1 a 4,7 GHz) e oito núcleos de eficiência (sem hiperthreading, 1,5 a 3,4 GHz). No total, isto resulta em 16 núcleos lógicos de CPU. A CPU fornece resultados de referência acima da média.

O teste multi-tarefa do benchmark Cinebench R15 é processado com 3,8 GHz (núcleos P) e 3 GHz (núcleos E), respectivamente. O teste de rosca única é executado com 2,2 a 4,7 GHz (núcleos P) e 1,5 a 3,4 GHz (núcleos E). As taxas de relógio são mais baixas no modo de bateria. O teste de loop CB15 mostra: A carga multi-tarefa só é atendida com um relógio Turbo alto por um curto período de tempo. Com o Arc-A350M GPU, o representante mais fraco da atual carteira de DGPU da Intel, encontrou seu caminho para a B5 Flip. O modelo básico tem um TGP de 35 watts, pode confiar na memória rápida GDDR6 (4.096 GB) e atinge um relógio máximo de 2,2 GHz - este último pode ser mantido permanentemente de acordo com a Witcher 3 teste.

O A350M tem frequentemente melhor pontuação do que seus rivais diretos nos benchmarks sintéticos (GeForce MX550, Radeon 680M), mas muitas vezes está em desvantagem na prática dos jogos - com maiores exigências de energia. No entanto, a GPU é adequada para jogos em ambientes médios a parcialmente altos.

O desempenho de jogos mistos é compensado por outras vantagens do A350M, que deveria ser mais procurado em um laptop como o B5 Flip: núcleos de traçado de raio, alto desempenho OpenCL e suporte para o codec AV1 (de- e codificação).
