Apesar do desempenho respeitável da GPU (graças à GTX 1050) e do bom desempenho geral da CPU, o HP Pavilion 15t que analisamos no mês passado teve definitivamente a sua quota de problemas - especificamente, as limitações do firmware resultando em um desempenho inconsistente da CPU, engasgos aleatórios durante a operação, e uma construção plástica frágil. Também vem com uma tela medíocre com cores desbotadas e um brilho fraco. No entanto, até certo grau, alguns destes problemas poderiam ser ignorados à luz do preço relativamente acessível e da duração aceitável da bateria.

Hoje, o Pavilion 15t (principalmente) aborda as nossas queixas sobre a tela com um (falso) painel UHD com grande saturação e reprodução de cores (com precisão relativamente boa) e melhor brilho. É muito mais agradável de olhar, embora o brilho é ainda está abaixo da média e a razão de contraste é nada de especial. No entanto, é uma tela muito melhor, no geral —  uma atualização definitiva. Infelizmente, sua inclusão traz dois novos pontos negativos: duração da bateria reduzida e um preço muito mais alto. De acordo com nossos testes, a duração da bateria foi cortada em 2 horas inteiras a 4:30 (de 6:29 com o modelo FHD anterior), e o preço anteriormente palatável de $800 subiu para $1.141, muito menos atraente. O custo maior coloca o Pavilion 15t em competição direta com máquinas como o Dell XPS 15 9560 (e inclusive o HP Spectre x360 15-bl002xx se o usuário nã precisar de uma GPU dedicada) — que são, fundamentalmente e indiscutivelmente, dispositivos superiores por comparação.

As fortalezas do Pavilion 15t UHD são relativamente poucos, em comparação com outros aparelhos de sua classe e faixa de preços, e suas desvantagens são diversas.

Além disso, o restante dos inconvenientes listados anteriormente ainda se aplica a esta última configuração. A construção frágil, as temperaturas desequilibradas, os dispositivos de entrada sem inspiração e a manutenção difícil, são preocupações substanciais - mas talvez o mais significativo de todos eles, o desempenho inconsistente da CPU e os engasgos durante a operação, ainda não foram resolvidos pela HP através de uma atualização do BIOS.

Portanto, é difícil dizer exatamente para quem o Pavilion 15t UHD é destinado. As fortalezas são relativamente poucas, em comparação com outros aparelhos de sua classe e faixa de preços, e suas desvantagens são diversas. Recomendaríamos dar uma olhada em outras opções; com este preço, talvez um Dell XPS 15HP Spectre, ou Lenovo Yoga 720 caberiam melhor na carteira.
