Intel NUC 12 Pro Kit - Wall Street Canyon em revisão: Mini PC avançado com Intel Core i7-1260P para alta versatilidade

Rápido e à prova de futuro! As peças móveis do 12º gênero Alder Lake da Intel conseguiram chegar à série NUC. O design híbrido composto por núcleos P e E é um sucesso e proporciona um bom desempenho. Nesta revisão, vamos explorar as características incluídas e o bom desempenho do mini PC.

A Intel atualizou sua série compacta NUC mini PC com os novos SoCs Alder Lake-P. O nome "Wall Street Canyon" significa a última série de modelos baseados nos modernos SoCs. Existem duas configurações básicas, que diferem em termos de suas dimensões. O modelo ligeiramente mais alto carrega o moniker "Tall", que indica a opção de um acionamento adicional de 2,5 polegadas. Em contraste, nosso dispositivo de teste "Slim" não oferece esta opção. Em termos de preço, cerca de 100 USD separa as duas variantes. Ambos os dispositivos são capazes apenas como um barebone. Assim, os usuários terão que instalar a RAM e armazenar eles mesmos.

Para nossos testes, instalamos dois módulos DDR4-3200 de 8 GB e um SSD de 512 GB em nossa amostra de teste. A última versão disponível do Windows 11 Professional no momento desta revisão serve como sistema operacional.

Caso

Visualmente, o Wall Street Canyon é muito obviamente um NUC da Intel. O design exterior do dispositivo é muito sutil e não há superfícies brilhantes em nenhum lugar do sistema. Embora o fundo da caixa seja de metal, dobrando como uma solução de resfriamento para o armazenamento, uma parte notável do NUC consiste de plástico. O dispositivo tem uma estrutura metálica robusta, que quase se tornou padrão nos compactos NUCs da Intel e fornece ao PC a rigidez necessária. Com uma altura de apenas 37 mm (~1,46 pol.), nossa versão Slim é bastante pequena. Além disso, o dispositivo não ocupa muito espaço em uma mesa devido a sua pequena altura de 11,7 x 11,2 cm (~4,61 x 4,41 pol.). Alternativamente, ele pode ser fixado a um monitor com o suporte VESA incluído.

Conectividade

O Kit Intel NUC 12 Pro oferece todas as opções mais comuns em termos de seleção de portas. Existem quatro portas USB tipo A e duas portas USB tipo C. As portas do tipo C suportam velocidades USB4. As duas interfaces Thunderbolt também aumentam enormemente a flexibilidade do sistema. A ampla gama de acessórios disponíveis é quase infinita. Finalmente, há duas portas HDMI e uma porta Ethernet 2.5G.

Comunicação

No Kit NUC 12 Pro, o próprio módulo Wi-Fi 6E AX211 da Intel é usado para redes sem fio. Ele tem um bom desempenho em nossos testes. Independentemente disso, ele não atinge as taxas de transferência que estávamos esperando ao enviar dados. O Morefine S600-Apex alcança resultados significativamente melhores com o mesmo módulo. Utilizamos nosso roteador de referência Asus ROG Rapture GT-AXE11000 para este teste.

Manutenção

Como todos os NUCs compactos da Intel, o Kit NUC 12 Pro permite uma manutenção rápida e fácil através da parte inferior do dispositivo. A tampa inferior é fixada por quatro pequenos parafusos e duplica como um refrigerador para os SSDs. Uma vez dentro, o acesso aos slots de RAM e SSD é muito simples.

Processador

Com oIntel Core i7-1260Po kit Intel NUC 12 Pro inclui um SoC muito recente. Graças a seus 12 núcleos físicos e um total de 16 fios, o Intel Core i7-1260p é uma escolha sólida, mesmo para usuários exigentes. Ele é classificado para um TDP (PL2) de 64 watts e um TDP (PL1) contínuo de 40 watts. Em comparação com seus concorrentes, o Intel NUC 12 Pro Kit tem um desempenho muito bom. Entre seus concorrentes PC compactos, apenas o Morefine S600-Apex é capaz de alcançar uma pontuação geral ligeiramente melhor. Um déficit de 14% comparado a um Intel Core i5-12600K ainda não é particularmente grande. Isto ilustra ainda mais como este SoC móvel é capaz de ter um bom desempenho.

Nossa amostra de teste do Kit Intel NUC 12 Pro suporta até dois M.2 SSDs. No entanto, os usuários terão que prestar atenção ao fator forma. Enquanto o slot primário NVMe-M.2 suporta apenas SSDs de 80mm, o slot secundário M.2 aceita apenas SSDs de 42mm mais curtos.

Um Intel Iris Xe Graphics G7 com 96 EUs é usada como solução gráfica integrada. Em termos de desempenho, ela é adequada apenas para renderização 2D. A performance 3D é significativamente insuficiente em comparação com uma GPU dedicada. No entanto, uma GPU externa pode ser conectada via Thunderbolt em seu lugar. O Intel NUC 12 Pro Kit é mais do que capaz de ser um excelente PC de escritório. Ele é baseado no Intel Core i7-1260Pum SoC rápido, com 12 núcleos e 16 fios, capaz de executar muitas aplicações simultaneamente. A principal vantagem do sistema é seu formato compacto combinado com as mais recentes e maiores interfaces, que quase não deixam nada a desejar. O Thunderbolt 4, que está disponível em duas versões, é de longe a adição mais interessante.

O preço de cerca de 700 USD é uma meia verdade quando se trata de tomar uma decisão de compra, uma vez que o sistema barebone não inclui nem RAM, nem um SSD ou uma licença Windows. Dito isto, as ofertas de outros fabricantes de mini PCs são semelhantes em sua natureza. Nossa configuração de teste modestamente equipada inclui 16 GB de RAM e um SSD de 512 GB e tem um desempenho muito bom. Subjetivamente, o sistema nunca se sentiu lento durante nosso período de testes. Graças às boas latências DPC, o dispositivo é bem adequado para ser um cliente streaming para a sala de estar. Uma doca externa de GPU também pode ser conectada no caso de ser necessário mais desempenho 3D. Durante a revisão do sistema, exploramos esta opção com a ajuda de um Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti.

Antes de tudo, o Kit Intel NUC 12 Pro é um ótimo PC de escritório. Entretanto, com os acessórios adequados, o pequeno sistema torna-se capaz de muito mais.

Visualmente, o Kit Intel NUC 12 Pro está em linha com outros modelos da série NUC da Intel. A qualidade de construção é boa, embora o exterior revestido de plástico possa parecer um pouco barato à primeira vista. Em geral, o Kit Intel NUC 12 Pro não faz erros importantes que nos desqualificariam de recomendar o sistema. Há muitos concorrentes no espaço do mini PC. Dito isto, não há muitos deles com suporte de Thunderbolt. O Ace Magician TK11-A0 é uma das exceções. No entanto, ele não consegue igualar o desempenho da CPU do Kit Intel NUC 12 Pro.
