Apesar de ser uma CPU Zen 3 antiga, o Ryzen 7 7735HS pode, às vezes, superar o recém-lançado Zen 5 Ryzen AI 7 445 em determinadas situações.

A AMD atualizou sua família Ryzen AI este ano com a nova série Ryzen AI 400 para substituir a série Ryzen AI 300 do ano passado. Os fãs que procuram atualizações substanciais, no entanto, podem ficar desapontados, pois a série Ryzen AI 400 oferece apenas melhorias leves em relação à série Ryzen AI 300. Algumas CPUs Ryzen 7 de gerações mais antigas podem até ter um desempenho melhor do que as CPUs Ryzen AI 7 mais recentes quando se trata de tarefas específicas.

Os gráficos abaixo comparam o recém-lançado Ryzen AI 7 445 com o Ryzen 7 7735HS de três anos, como encontrado no Lenovo Yoga 7 2 em 1 16 e GMK NucBox K16 mini PC, respectivamente. A CPU Zen 3 mais antiga supera a CPU Zen 5 mais recente na maioria dos benchmarks de vários núcleos, incluindo CineBench e 7-Zip, em 10 a 15%. Por outro lado, a CPU Zen 5 mais recente supera consistentemente a CPU Zen 3 no GeekBench, em benchmarks de núcleo único e na decodificação/codificação HWBOT x265.

A discrepância de desempenho entre as duas CPUs pode ser parcialmente atribuída ao maior número de núcleos no Ryzen 7 7735HS do que no Ryzen AI 7 445 (8 vs. 6). Portanto, as cargas de trabalho multithread brutas seriam executadas um pouco mais rapidamente na CPU mais antiga, mas, alternativamente, com mais eficiência na CPU mais nova.

Apesar das diferenças de desempenho acima, a CPU Zen 5 mais recente ainda é, sem dúvida, a melhor opção para a maioria dos usuários devido à sua NPU integrada e à eficiência energética superior. Ao executar o Cyberpunk 2077, por exemplo, nosso sistema Ryzen AI 7 445 Radeon 840M consumiria cerca de 35% menos energia e ofereceria taxas de quadros semelhantes às do nosso sistema Ryzen 7 7735HS Radeon 680M. Para um PC versátil ou com foco em multimídia, a CPU Zen 5 é objetivamente o processador mais equilibrado, mesmo que sacrifique um pouco do desempenho multi-thread ao longo do caminho.
