Caso

O case do laptop parece muito bom. A começar pelo design elegante e pela pegada compacta, embora a concorrência ofereça valores semelhantes nessas áreas. Ainda há espaço para melhorias no que diz respeito às portas do dispositivo. Embora o laptop de 14 polegadas tenha um total de quatro portas USB, até mesmo suas duas portas Type-C são compatíveis apenas com o padrão 3.2 Gen 1, embora sejam compatíveis com DisplayPort 1.4 e Power Delivery 3.0. Há também um conector de áudio, uma porta HDMI 1.4b desatualizada e um leitor de cartão microSD. Como as portas estão localizadas na metade traseira dos dois painéis laterais, um mouse externo pode ser usado sem dificuldades (de espaço).

Comunicação

Manutenção

Suas opções de manutenção são muito parecidas com as do Yoga Pro 7. Isso significa que sua placa inferior é fixada por 6 parafusos Torx e vários suportes. Em contraste com seu irmão de 14 polegadas, a Lenovo não implementou uma unidade de resfriamento de ventilador duplo - em vez disso, ele conta com um ventilador relativamente grande. Dispositivos de entrada

Teclado

Da mesma forma que no Yoga Pro 7, os dispositivos de entrada do IdeaPad Slim 5 são dignos de elogios. O teclado tem um bom layout (além das pequenas teclas de seta do meio) e as teclas têm um bom tamanho. Também é mais agradável digitar nesse teclado do que na maioria dos outros fabricantes, embora o ruído das teclas seja bastante alto para um modelo clássico com cúpula de borracha. As sessões de escrita noturnas não são problema graças à luz de fundo branca instalada.

Touchpad

O touchpad também é bom, se o senhor ignorar as áreas de clique que soam um pouco ruidosas. O tamanho de 12 x 7,5 cm é respeitável para um dispositivo de 14 polegadas. Em nosso teste, ele nunca apresentou problemas com precisão ou suporte a gestos. Sua superfície é bastante lisa, o que significa que os dedos deslizam bem sobre ela.

Tela

Quando se trata de telas OLED, os gostos são diferentes. Se o senhor pretende passar muito tempo usando o laptop em ambientes claros ou ao ar livre, é melhor procurar um dispositivo com acabamento fosco. A superfície brilhante de nossa configuração de teste geralmente causa reflexos muito fortes e desagradáveis.

Desempenho

O IdeaPad Slim 5 é um laptop de médio porte. Os usuários devem decidir cuidadosamente, com antecedência, se 16 GB de RAM são suficientes a longo prazo, já que - como criticado anteriormente - não podem ser trocados. Seu SSD M.2 (que também é apenas um modelo 2242) poderia tecnicamente ser trocado por um modelo 2280 maior.

Processador

O Core Ultra 5 125H é o irmão mais barato do Core Ultra 7 155H no Yoga 7 Pro e pode lidar com 18 threads paralelos em vez de 22. Sua taxa de clock e cache (18 vs. 24 MB) também são ligeiramente inferiores. Mesmo assim, o Ultra 5 125H se saiu muito bem em nossos testes de benchmark. Embora isso não tenha sido suficiente para que ele atingisse o nível do Yoga Pro 7, outros notebooks baseados no 155H, como o ZenBook 14 ou o Spectre x360, não conseguiram superá-lo no loop do Cinebench.

Placa de vídeo

A iGPU integrada ao Core Ultra 5 125H é chamada de Arc 7 e é comparada com a Arc 8ela apresenta 112 em vez de 128 Xe Vector Engines e 7 em vez de 8 unidades/samplers de ray-tracing - essa não é uma redução muito grande. Como era de se esperar, o IdeadPad Slim 5 foi capaz de acompanhar bem os dispositivos baseados no Ultra 7 155H e (pelo menos nos benchmarks de gráficos sintéticos) ficou um pouco à frente da Radeon 780M do Yoga Pro 7. Se o senhor quiser jogar ocasionalmente, talvez seja melhor usar o Arc 8, pois alguns jogos que testamos travaram mais do que outros (com drivers idênticos), pelo menos ao usar configurações mais altas, mas, mesmo assim, os jogos não seriam jogáveis.

Desempenho em jogos

Desde que o senhor não exagere na resolução (máximo de Full HD) e esteja satisfeito com as configurações baixas a médias, o Arc 7 também é adequado para determinados jogos modernos. As coisas ficam complicadas quando se tenta executar jogos extremamente exigentes e/ou moderadamente otimizados, como Alan Wake 2, Starfield, Lords of The Fallen, Avatar Frontiers of Pandora e Enshrouded. Aqui, inevitavelmente, o senhor terá que usar resoluções mais baixas dentro da faixa de HD ou aumentar a escala na forma do XeSS da Intel (se os jogos suportarem isso). Se o senhor comparar seu desempenho em jogos com o Yoga Pro 7, a Radeon 780M é cerca de 10% mais rápida, em média, enquanto o Arc 8 é quase 20% mais rápido.

Emissões de ruído

As emissões de ruído do laptop são boas, sem serem muito impressionantes. No modo inativo e ao realizar tarefas simples, como trabalho de escritório, reprodução de vídeos e navegação na Web, suas emissões de ruído são boas, em torno de 30 dB(A). No entanto, sob carga, o dispositivo de 14 polegadas é mais barulhento do que a concorrência com o Arc 8 - e isso, apesar de seu desempenho mais fraco, embora 40-45 dB(A) ainda seja aceitável. Se o senhor quiser algo mais silencioso, talvez queira usar o modo de economia de bateria, embora, ao fazer isso, o desempenho do laptop seja severamente limitado.

Se o senhor puder aceitar uma superfície de tela reflexiva, então o IdeaPad Slim 5 14IMH9 é um laptop multimídia/completo de sucesso, em quase todos os sentidos. O Core Ultra 5 125Hfoi, em sua maior parte, um sucesso. Graças às suas Arc iGPUsa Intel finalmente alcançou o nível da Radeon 680M e 780M depois de muitos anos de atraso - embora a AMD já pudesse ter saído na frente novamente se não estivesse descansando sobre os louros.

Independentemente disso, a Lenovo fez muitas coisas bem com seu IdeaPad Slim 5 14.

Sua caixa causa uma impressão de alta qualidade e ele oferece um teclado melhor do que o que o senhor normalmente obtém nessa classe de preço. O peso, a duração da bateria e as emissões também não dão motivos para reclamações. Por outro lado, muitos compradores em potencial podem ser dissuadidos pelo fato de a RAM ser soldada, o que impede sua expansão.
