Análise do laptop Lenovo Yoga Pro 7 14 G8 - O AMD Zen4 não é automaticamente melhor

Mais desempenho, mas tempos de execução piores. A Lenovo agora oferece seu Yoga Pro 7 14 G8 de 14 polegadas com o atual AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS (Zen4), que pode oferecer mais desempenho em comparação com o antigo Ryzen 7 7735HS, mas isso afeta a duração da bateria e as emissões de ruído do dispositivo.

Já testamos o atual Yoga Pro 7 14 de 8ª geração (também conhecido como Yoga Slim Pro 7 em alguns mercados) em algumas configurações diferentes - desde o processador AMD (Zen3+) com uma iGPU e uma tela de 2,5K até o modelo superior com uma CPU Intel, GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop e um painel 3K opcional. Todas as versões do subnotebook ou laptop multimídia obtiveram bons resultados e a Lenovo agora também oferece versões com as mais recentes CPUs Zen4 da AMD.

Nosso dispositivo de teste é o Yoga Pro 7 14APH G8 (82Y80020GE) com o Ryzen 7 7840HS, incluindo a Radeon 780M iGPU, 32 GB de RAM, um SSD de 1 TB e um painel fosco de 2,5K. Essa configuração custa cerca de US$ 1.300 ou US$ 1.200 como um modelo de campus. A tela IPS fosca do laptop com proporção de 16:10 e resolução de 2.560 x 1.600 pixels é uma tela que conhecemos bem do seu antecessor, portanto, podemos resumi-la. Subjetivamente, a qualidade de imagem do painel de 90 Hz continua muito boa, pois o conteúdo é retratado com nitidez e mesmo as áreas mais claras não parecem granuladas. Além disso, suas velocidades de reação são boas e não faz uso de PWM.

Em termos de brilho, o presente dispositivo de teste teve um desempenho minimamente pior, com uma média de 348 cd/m². Por sua vez, seu valor de preto de 0,22 é um pouco melhor, levando a uma melhor relação de contraste máximo. Em princípio, porém, esses pequenos desvios estão dentro da faixa normal de produção em série.

Medimos o painel usando o software profissional CalMAN (X-Rite i1 Pro2) e a tela já parecia decente no estado em que foi entregue. Embora tenhamos notado uma mínima tonalidade azul e sua temperatura de cor esteja um pouco fria, isso só pode ser visto a olho nu em comparação direta com um monitor calibrado. No entanto, seus desvios de cor em comparação com a referência sRGB já eram muito pequenos, apenas 100% vermelho estava acima do importante desvio de 3.

Usando nossa própria calibração (o perfil está disponível para download gratuito na caixa de exibição abaixo), conseguimos melhorar esses valores em geral e corrigir sua leve tonalidade de cor, mas o desvio de vermelho permaneceu. Graças à sua cobertura sRGB completa, o painel ainda é adequado para a edição de imagens/vídeos.

Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

Desempenho - AMD Zen 4 e 32 GB de RAM

A Lenovo oferece seu Yoga Pro 7 14 G8 com as novas CPUs Zen4 da Intel e, em comparação com o modelo antigo, o Ryzen 7 7840HS agora foi combinado com o laptop dedicado GeForce Laptop RTX 4050 - no passado, isso era reservado para as versões Intel. Em termos de RAM, esse modelo continua sofrendo restrições desnecessárias: Enquanto nosso dispositivo de teste iGPU foi entregue com 32 GB de RAM, o modelo com a GPU GeForce continua apresentando apenas 16 GB.

 
 

Condições de teste

No aplicativo Vantage pré-instalado, a Lenovo oferece diferentes modos de desempenho que podem ser confortavelmente selecionados através da combinação de teclas "Fn+Q". Como já foi visto em seu antecessor, não faz muito sentido usar o modo "desempenho mais alto" (64/60 watts) no modelo com a iGPU, pois o desempenho adicional resultante é muito baixo, enquanto as ventoinhas só giram mais alto. Durante tarefas simples, o senhor pode confiar no modo de economia de bateria (28/25 watts). Realizamos os seguintes benchmarks e medições usando o modo "resfriamento inteligente" (28/25 watts). No total, observamos limites de potência ligeiramente maiores do que os do seu antecessor com o Ryzen 7 7735HS.

Processador - Ryzen 7 7840HS

O AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS apresenta 8 núcleos Zen4 modernos que podem processar um total de 16 threads ao mesmo tempo e podem atingir um máximo de 5,1 GHz. Seu desempenho é excelente no total e (também graças a seus limites de energia mais altos) foi 20% mais rápido durante os testes de vários núcleos e 12% mais rápido nos testes de núcleo único em comparação com o Ryzen 7 7735HS com núcleos Zen3+. Seu desempenho de vários núcleos também foi capaz de superar o da concorrência com CPUs Intel (até mesmo o novo Meteor Lake Core Ultra 7 155H), enquanto os chips Intel foram ligeiramente mais rápidos nos testes de núcleo único.

A placa de vídeo do Yoga Pro é a Radeon 780Mque, nesse caso, se beneficia da rápida RAM LPDDR5x-6400 em uma configuração de canal duplo e é uma das Radeon 780Ms mais rápidas que testamos até agora. A iGPU foi cerca de 11% mais rápida do que a Radeon 680M durante os benchmarks, mas foi superada nos testes sintéticos pela nova GPU Intel Arc (8 núcleos) dos novos processadores móveis Meteor Lake. No entanto, a diferença de 6% entre elas não é muito grande.

A iGPU é adequada para o uso diário, incluindo a reprodução de vídeos de alta resolução, e seu desempenho é até mesmo suficiente para um ou outro jogo, embora o senhor geralmente tenha que passar sem jogar os jogos mais recentes. Em jogos menos exigentes, no entanto, o senhor pode jogar usando detalhes médios a altos. De modo geral, o Yoga ficou um pouco mais barulhento com o processador Zen4, o que também se deve ao aumento dos limites de potência. As ventoinhas também começam a funcionar um pouco mais rápido no uso diário do que no modelo anterior. Se o senhor não precisar de todo o desempenho da CPU, recomendamos usar o modo de economia de bateria no uso diário. Os valores ainda são comparáveis sob carga baixa, mas o modelo Zen4 foi um pouco mais barulhento durante os jogos e no teste de estresse. No modo de desempenho mais alto, o máximo que medimos foi 47,7 dB(A). Não houve outros ruídos eletrônicos provenientes do dispositivo de teste.

Temperatura

No modo inativo e com pouca carga, as temperaturas da superfície do laptop não apresentam nenhum problema. No entanto, a parte inferior da unidade base fica visivelmente quente sob carga e medimos um máximo de pouco menos de 50 °C na área central traseira. Como resultado, o senhor deve evitar o contato com a pele nessa área. A parte superior da unidade base permanece significativamente mais fria, com um máximo de 42 °C, mas seus dedos também ficarão mais quentes aqui ao digitar. Consumo de energia

O consumo de energia do Zen4 Yoga aumentou no modo inativo e sob carga, levando-o a atingir os limites da fonte de alimentação de 100 watts por um curto período de tempo. Durante o teste de estresse, o consumo voltou a cair um pouco mais rapidamente, mas isso não deixa muito espaço para carregar a bateria.

A capacidade da bateria de 73 Wh do dispositivo não mudou, mas sua duração é pior do que a do último AMD Yoga devido à sua maior necessidade de energia. Durante o teste WLAN com um brilho de 150 cd/m² e uma taxa de atualização de 60 Hz, medimos 10:18 horas (09:25 horas a 90 Hz) e 07:56 horas com brilho total (07:39 horas a 90 Hz). No teste de vídeo, observamos 12:17 horas, levando os resultados a serem mais curtos do que os do Yoga com o processador Zen3+.

Mesmo após a mudança para o processador Zen4 da AMD, o Yoga Pro 7 14 G8 continua sendo um excelente laptop multimídia e, em muitos aspectos (gabinete, conectividade, dispositivos de entrada, tela), ele não mudou nada. A mudança de processador do AMD Zen3+ para o Zen4 traz mais desempenho (CPU e iGPU), no entanto, ao custo de limites de energia mais altos.

No uso diário, isso leva a uma maior atividade da ventoinha, o que não teria sido completamente necessário. Aqui, a Lenovo poderia ter graduado seus modos de desempenho de forma mais clara, já que seus valores de desempenho usando o modo de resfriamento inteligente e o modo de desempenho mais alto são praticamente idênticos. O consumo de energia do laptop também é um pouco maior, o que, por sua vez, prejudica o tempo de execução.

O processador Zen4 da AMD pode oferecer mais desempenho, mas, como resultado, o Yoga Pro 7 14 G8 fica mais barulhento e seus tempos de execução não são tão bons.

Se o senhor não precisa do desempenho adicional e pode se contentar com 16 GB de RAM, então, sem dúvida, também pode optar pela variante com o processador Ryzen 7 7735 variante com o Ryzen 7 7735HSque apresenta ventoinhas um pouco mais silenciosas e tempos de execução mais longos - além disso, o senhor também economizará um pouco de dinheiro. De qualquer forma, é positivo que o processador Zen4 agora também possa ser combinado com o processador dedicado GeForce Laptop RTX 4050 dedicadomas, nesse caso, a Lenovo infelizmente limita a configuração máxima de RAM a 16 GB, o que simplesmente não faz sentido.

O Yoga Pro 7 14 G8 é vendido por cerca de US$ 1.300. Embora a versão com processador AMD não possa ser encontrada na Amazon, a versão com CPU Intel pode ser encontrada por US$ 1.299.
