A Aorus conseguiu para si um nicho no mercado de games, oferecendo hardware normalmente encontrados em portáteis maiores em um chassi de metade da espessura. O X5 v6 inclusive oferece um conjunto de recursos exclusivo, incluindo sua tela 3K 1620p, duas portas HDMI 2.0, e hardwaer Live Stream Engine para streamers. Por que comprar uma solução robusta quando há um Aorus bastante mais fino disponível com opções similares de CPU e GPU?

A resposta tem menos a ver com desempenho e recursos e mais a ver com barulho da ventoinha. A GPU GTX 1070 em nossa unidade de teste se desempenha tão rápido quanto a nossa GTX 1070 de desktop de referência, por isso o desempenho nos games não é afogado de forma alguma. Suas opções de tela 120 Hz/5 ms G-Sync, teclas iluminadas individualmente, 4 baias de armazenamento interno com suporte para RAID, e manutenção simples, separam ainda mais o X5 v6 do visual de outros super portáteis para jogos. Adicionalmente, o pouco comum painel WQHD se complementa muito bem com a GTX 1070, ao contrário de um painel UHD 4K.

O ruído do sistema é a desvantagem mais notória. As ventoinhas são barulhentas, até o ponto de poder ser muito perturbantes quando não estiver utilizando fones, especialmente em jogos silenciosos como MGS V. Outras pequenas desvantagens aparecem rapidamente, incluindo a pouco impressionante duração da bateria, PWM em todos os níveis de brilho, ausência de Thunderbolt 3 e MXM 3.0, e afogamento da CPU quando está sob estresse extremo. Combine esta última desvantagem com o peculiar comportamento da duração da bateria (>200 W de energia sugados de um adaptador de CA de 200 W) e temos um sistema que provavelmente teria se desempenhado tão bem quanto o Core i7-6700HQ mais econômico.

O Aorus X5 v6 portável é um portátil para jogos com desempenho pleno, construído para gamers e streamers hardcore com uma infinidade de recursos. Como outros portáteis para jogos, a sua maior desvantagem continua sendo o ruído da ventoinha.
