Honestamente, nossas expectativas antes dos testes eram um pouco mais altas. O HP Pavilion 15 é u dispositivos de preço baixo com um design elegante e boa qualidade de construção. No entanto, o sistema não apenas se sente mais lento, ele realmente é mais lento. Tivemos o prazer de testar este Pavilion 15 (AMD Ryzen 5 2500U) ao mesmo tempo que o Pavilion 14 (Intel i7-8550U). Às vezes começamos os benchmarks simultaneamente e enquanto o Pavilion com a CPU da Intel já tinha finalizado o benchmark há bastante tempo, o AMD Pavilion ainda estava no meio dele. É claro que a CPU Ryzen 5 2500U não está no mesmo nível de um i7-8550U e está mais próxima de um i5-8250U, mas a diferença foi considerável. É por isso que não podemos concordar com os resultados do PCMark 8 que retratam o Pavilion 15 como mais rápido que o HP Pavilion de 14 polegadas.

No entanto, o desempenho de resfriamento e os ventiladores silenciosos, definitivamente são pontos positivos. Mesmo sob uso intenso, não há sobreaquecimento e as temperaturas permanecem agradáveis.

A HP poderia ter melhorado o Pavilion um pouco mais, configurando-o de fábrica para um TDP mais alto ou uma duração de turbo mais longa.

Por outro lado, isso teria sido prejudicial para a duração da bateria, que já é um dos pontos fracos do dispositivo de 15 polegadas. Os benchmarks mostraram muito claramente que este portátil é absolutamente inadequado para jogos. A solução gráfica integrada é fraca demais para rodar jogos sem engasgos, mesmo com os detalhes mais baixos. No geral, o HP Pavilion 15 é um dispositivo de trabalho médio com um design elegante que faz o seu trabalho, mas não se destaca da multidão.
