Intel Pentium Dual Core T4200

O Intel Pentium T4200 (ou Intel Pentium Dual-Core T4200) é um CPU dual-core de nível básico para portáteis. Comparado com os CPUs Core 2 Duo, o T4200 possui apenas um cache de 1 MB de nível 2 e um pouco da tecnologia de economia de energia está desativada.

Os Processadores Intel® Pentium® não suportam os seguintes recursos:

    * Tecnologia de Virtualização Intel®
    * Aceleração Dinâmica Intel®
    * Comutação Dinâmica da Freqüência do FSB Intel®
    * C3E
    * Deeper Sleep State (C4)
    * Intel® Enhanced Deeper Sleep State

Portanto, o consumo de energia em modo inativo deve estar um pouco acima de CPUs Core 2 Duo de freqüência semelhante. Além disso, a tecnologia de virtualização VT-x também não está disponível para o T4200.

Devido à baixa freqüência e o cache de baixo nível 2, o Pentium T4200 limitará o desempenho de jogos 3D exigentes (por exemplo, Supreme Commander). Para aplicativos de nível básico como Office, edição de vídeo SD, processamento de imagens, Internet e jogos ocasionais, o T4200 deve ser suficiente.

O Pentium T4200 se baseia no Intel Penryn core e apresenta 2 unidades inteiras, 1 unidade de ponto flutuante, 1 unidade de carga, e 1 unidade de armazenamento em um longo pipeline de 14-fases.
