O Intel Core 2 Duo T6500 é um processador dual core de capacidade básica a média, para portáteis. Baseia-se no núcleo Penryn, mas apresenta um cache de apenas 2 MB nível 2 e uma lenta freqüência de 2,1 GHz. Comparado com o Core 2 Duo T6570, o T6500 não oferece Virtualization VT-x e, portanto é destinado para portáteis de consumidor.

O desempenho deve ser adequado para aplicativos pouco exigentes como office, internet, edição de vídeo de nível básico ou correção de imagens. Os jogos que usam intensamente o CPU podem ser limitados pela força do T6500.
