Economize para o hardware atualizado, o novo MateBook D 53010BAJ ainda é o mesmo portátil multimídia mainstream de alumínio de 15,6 polegadas da Huawei, lançado no ano passado. Para a faixa de preço determinada, o chassi é muito bem projetado, robusto e agradável visualmente. O desempenho do sistema é satisfatório, mesmo que o novo portátil não esteja muito à frente do predecessor nesse aspecto. Nós aplaudimos a Huawei por não tentar colocar uma CPU hexa-core Coffee Lake-H no chassi fino, pois isso certamente teria sobrecarregado completamente o sistema de resfriamento e teria reduzido a duração da bateria também. Inclusive com a CPU ULV de 15 W, no entanto, o afogamento continua sendo um problema quando está sob uso intenso. A Huawei continua a empregar o afogamento agressiva de CPU e GPU para manter as temperaturas internas e da superfície sob controle, ao custo de desempenho reduzido e aumento da atividade dos ventiladores. O resultado líquido: o MateBook D oferece melhor desempenho, mas infelizmente é tão quente quanto o antecessor e também se tornou um pouco mais barulhento. Devemos observar que o afogamento observado provavelmente impactará apenas os usuários avançados e não deverá afetar a navegação, processamento de texto e tarefas semelhantes do dia a dia. 

Não há dúvida de que a Huawei teve que cortar alguns cantos adicionais para manter o preço tão baixo: a seleção de portas é o que nós consideramos o mínimo, e falta um leitor de cartões SD, porta USB-C e várias saídas de vídeo. O painel da tela, apesar de razoavelmente brilhante, fica aquém quando se trata de precisão e gama de cores.

O MateBook D é um portátil multimídia sólido com especificações impressionantes para o preço. O desempenho melhorou em relação ao predecessor, mas o afogamento sob uso intenso, infelizmente, continua sendo um problema.
