Qualcomm SD 865+ (Plus)

A plataforma móvel Snapdragon 865+ (Plus) da Qualcomm é um smartphone e tablet SoC de alta qualidade que a Qualcomm anunciou em meados de 2020. O SoC integra um rápido 'Prime Core' que relógios até 3,1 GHz e três núcleos de desempenho ARM Cortex-A77 adicionais, que podem alcançar até 2,42 GHz. Estes são complementados por quatro núcleos ARM Cortex-A55 que economizam energia, que chegam a atingir um máximo de 1,8 GHz. A diferença para o Snapdragon 865 mais antigo é o Prime Core com relógio mais rápido e GPU com relógio 10% mais alto.

Portanto, o Snapdragon 865 ocupa o primeiro lugar nos processadores móveis para sistemas baseados no Android. Em algumas cargas de trabalho multi-core, o SD865+ pode até funcionar no mesmo nível do SoC Apple A13. Um único fio, no entanto, ainda é um forte fato dos SoCs da Apple.

Em comparação com as gerações anteriores, o Snapdragon 865 e 865 Plus não integra mais um modem LTE, mas tem que ser emparelhado com o novo modem X55 5G, que também suporta o LTE Cat 24/22. O módulo Wi-Fi, entretanto, ainda está integrado e chamado FastConnect 6800 com suporte para Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) e 8x8 MU-MIMU e 60 GHz 802.11ay com até 10 Gbps. O Bluetooth 5.1 também é suportado, incluindo o aptX Adaptive.

A GPU integrada ainda é chamada Adreno 650 e deve oferecer 10% mais desempenho do que a Adreno 650 no Snapdragon 865 (graças à maior velocidade do relógio).

O Hexagon 698 DSP embarcado agora oferece um desempenho KI de até 15 TOPS (de 7 TOPS no 855) e ainda usa uma combinação de CPU, GPU, HVX e núcleos de Tensor. O Spectra 480 ISP também é intocável. O Computer Vision Engine (CV-ISP) integrado agora suporta Dolby Vision, vídeos 8K e fotos de 200 megapixels.

O controlador de memória integrado suporta LPDDR5 com até 2.750 MHz e LPDDR4X com 2.133 MHz.

O Snapdragon 855+ é fabricado na TSMC no novo processo melhorado de 7nm (N7P, baseado em DUV). O processo oferece um desempenho 7% maior ou 10% menos de consumo de energia em comparação com o antigo processo N7.
