Qualcomm Snapdragon 670
O Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 (SD670) é um SoC rápido de médio alcance baseado em ARM, largamente encontrado em tablets e smartphones Android. Anunciado no final de 2018, o SD670 é o sucessor do Snapdragon 660. Apresenta 8 núcleos Kryo 360 (design personalizado, 64-Bit capaz) que estão divididos em dois grupos. Um aglomerado rápido de dois núcleos com até 2 GHz e um aglomerado de eficiência de poupança de energia com até 1,7 GHz. Ambos os aglomerados podem também ser utilizados em conjunto.
Além dos 8 núcleos de CPU, o SoC integra uma GPU de médio alcance Adreno 616 com um controlador de memória LPDDR4X-3733 (duplo canal 1867 MHz) e suporta Wi-Fi (802.11ac + MIMO, máx. 867 Mbps), Bluetooth 5, e LTE (modem X12 LTE com até 600 Mbps de download e 150 Mbps de upload).
Em Benchmarks, o Snapdragon 670 é ligeiramente mais rápido do que o antigo Snapdragon 660 e, portanto, um sólido processador de gama média.
O Snapdragon 660 baseia-se num conceito semelhante ao big.LITTLE da ARM, que combina um cluster de CPU de baixa potência (2x Kyro relógio a até 1,8 GHz) e um cluster de CPU de desempenho (2x Kyro relógio a até 2,2 GHz). A velocidade do relógio de cada cluster pode ser ajustada individualmente (mas não por núcleo) e a velocidade mais baixa do relógio é de 310 MHz (não verificada).
Graças ao novo processo LPP de 10 nm na Samsung, a eficiência energética foi visivelmente melhorada em comparação com os seus predecessores de 14 nm.
