HiSilicon Kirin 990 5G

O HiSilicon Kirin 990 5G é um SoC topo de gama com base em ARM para smartphones e comprimidos, que foi introduzido com o Huawei Mate 30 Pro no final de 2019. Integra oito núcleos de CPU em três clusters. O cluster de desempenho contém dois núcleos Cortex-A76 com até 2,86 GHz, o cluster equilibrado contém também dois núcleos Cortex-A76 mas com apenas até 2,36 GHz e finalmente o cluster de economia de energia contém quatro pequenos núcleos ARM Cortex-A55 com até 1,95 GHz. Além disso, o SoC integra um processador neural (2 + 1 núcleos) para tarefas de IA e uma GPU ARM Mali-G76 MP16 acoplada a até 700 MHz. Em comparação com a versão 4G, o 5G Kirin 990 integra um modem Balong 5G e é ligeiramente mais elevado (2 dos 3 clusters e a GPU).

O Kirin 990 5G é produzido no processo moderno de 7nm (7FF+ com EUV) na TSMC, a versão 4G ainda é produzida no processo ligeiramente mais antigo de 7nm como o Kirin 980.
