Intel P4600

O Intel Celeron P4600 é um CPU de nível básico para portáteis. Funciona com uma freqüência de 2 GHz e não suporta TurboBoost para a aceleração automática do CPU. Além disso as instruções AES e o hyperthreading estão desabilitados. O CPU suporta Enhanced Speedstep, mas pode haver alguns outros recursos para economizar energia desabilitados (como tinham as séries Penryn - Celeron). O Pentium P6100 de freqüência similar é um pouco mais veloz graças ao maior cache de nível 3 e ao mais rápido link QPI. Porém, não suporta funções VT-x Virtualization.

O P4600 baseia-se nos CPUs Arrandale e, portanto, contém um controlador de memória integrada e placa de vídeo Intel HD Graphics (ambos produzidos em 45nm, o CPU em 32nm). A também chamada de GMA HD no CPU tem uma freqüência de 500MHz e é capaz de acelerar até 766MHz devido ao Turbo Boost (somente GPU).

O desempenho do CPU é um relativamente baixo, devido à baixa freqüência e à falta do Turbo Boost e Hyperthreading. Mesmo assim, o desempenho por GHz deve ser um pouco melhor que o de um Core 2 Duo com freqüência similar, devido ao controlador de memória integrado.
