O tablet EeWrite é surpreendentemente leve e fácil de segurar por longos períodos. É mais de 100 g mais leve que o iPad Pro 10.5e é mais fino que a maioria dos tablets, com apenas 6,8 mm. Combine isto com um design atraente e você tem um tablet E-Ink que é muito apta para viagens.

Infelizmente, é aí que as principais vantagens do EeWrite E-Pad terminam. Recursos comuns do Android como 4G LTE, leitor MicroSD, alto-falantes integrados, acesso à Play Store, Bluetooth, suporte para caneta e WLAN são indubitavelmente úteis para ter em um e-reader, mas a tela E-Ink é incrivelmente lenta ao ponto de frustração. Embora decente o suficiente para ler e-books ou mangás, seus tempos de resposta são tão ruins que funções básicas como navegação, digitação ou escrita, navegação ou rolagem, se movem de forma incerta e a um passo de caracol. A reprodução de vídeo é impraticável e a falta de um conector de áudio de 3,5 mm significa que você precisará contar com fones de ouvido Bluetooth para a reprodução de músicas pessoais. Talvez uma função de pesquisa instantânea teria tornado a experiência um pouco mais rápida.

O E-Pad é, principalmente, um e-reader com recursos Android secundários. No entanto, quando esses recursos Android são dolorosamente lentos e não respondem, é difícil para nós recomendarmos pagar o alto preço de mais de $ 400,00 USD. A tela E-Ink não consegue acompanhar o moderno sistema operacional Android, e o SoC MediaTek Helio X20, de gama média, não consegue ajudá-lo. Mas para e-books, quadrinhos e música, a tela lenta se torna mais tolerável.
