O Getac S410 Gen 4 é a 11ª geração Intel Tiger Lake-U atualização para os modelos existentes da Gen 3 e modelos anteriores. Caso contrário, ele compartilha o mesmo design de chassis que seus predecessores e, portanto, nossos comentários existentes sobre o modelo original 2018 S410 ainda se aplicam aqui

O painel IPS de 1000-nit 1080p é uma atualização significativa em relação ao painel de 250-nit 768p TN em nosso original 2018 S410 Gen 1. O contraste até dobrou, mas o espaço de cor permanece quase inalterado.

Tenha em mente que a modulação da largura de pulso está presente em todos os níveis de luminosidade, mesmo quando no máximo. A tremulação constante da tela pode ser incômoda para um pequeno subconjunto de usuários com olhos sensíveis.

Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

The frequency of 870 Hz is quite high, so most users sensitive to PWM should not notice any flickering.

In comparison: 53 % of all tested devices do not use PWM to dim the display. If PWM was detected, an average of 18071 (minimum: 5 - maximum: 3846000) Hz was measured.

Nossa unidade foi ajustada ao plano Extreme Power através do software G-Manager antes de executar quaisquer benchmarks de desempenho abaixo para obter as melhores pontuações possíveis. Recomendamos aos usuários que se familiarizem com este software, pois as principais características e atualizações são aqui alternadas.

Processador

O desempenho bruto com uma e várias roscas é cerca de 30% e 50% mais rápido, respectivamente, do que o Core i7-8550U no S410 original. Optando pelo Core i5-1135G7 ou Core i5-1145G7 menor, espera-se que o desempenho do processador só tenha um impacto de cerca de 10 a 15%.

Desempenho do sistema

Os resultados da PCMark são superiores ao que observamos no S410 Gen 1, além do sub-teste de Produtividade, provavelmente devido ao desempenho SSD mais lento do que o esperado em nossa unidade, como mostrado na próxima seção abaixo. O maior ganho pode ser visto no sub-teste de Criação de Conteúdo Digital devido aos benefícios de desempenho do Iris Xe em relação ao muito mais antigo UHD Graphics 620.

Ruído do sistema

O ruído dos ventiladores parece ser mais alto e mais provável de pulsar do que no modelo original S410 Gen 1. A potência do pacote da CPU seria de 41 W durante o início do teste antes de se estabilizar em 26 W. A alta temperatura do núcleo de 95 C sugere que a CPU está indo o mais rápido possível dentro dos limites do chassi quando submetida a cargas de processamento exigentes. O sistema vem com um pequeno (~12,8 x 5,2 x 3,0 cm) e um adaptador AC de 90 W de capacidade relativamente alta em comparação com o adaptador AC de 65 W que acompanhava o S410 Gen 1 e a maioria dos outros Ultrabooks de 14 polegadas para esse fim. A maior saída de energia também pode ser útil se forem acoplados diferentes acessórios compatíveis com Thunderbolt e para manter uma taxa de carga constante, independentemente da atividade na tela.

O consumo de energia é alto para um fator de forma de 14 polegadas. A movimentação no desktop pode variar entre 8 W a 15 W para ser duas vezes mais exigente do que o esperado devido, em parte, à exibição extra-brilho. Vida útil da bateria

O modelo pode suportar várias baterias de cada vez. Nossa unidade particular integra uma bateria interna de 44 Wh mais duas baterias removíveis de 75 Wh cada uma, para um total de 194 Wh. As baterias removíveis são fixadas através das ranhuras de acoplamento ao longo das bordas do chassi. Somos capazes de registrar um tempo de funcionamento WLAN no mundo real de mais de 28 horas através de todas as três baterias.

O sistema não pode ser recarregado via USB-C.

As diferenças entre a 10ª e 11ª geração da Intel são significativas, especialmente em termos de desempenho gráfico. A nova GPU Iris Xe é pelo menos 2x a 3x mais rápida do que a geração anterior UHD Graphics 620 sem consumir muito mais energia para um desempenho notavelmente maior por watt. Se suas cargas de trabalho são pesadas na GPU, então até mesmo esta simples atualização do processador pode oferecer uma performance visivelmente mais suave do que os modelos S410 da geração anterior.

O chassi permaneceu praticamente inalterado por mais de 4 anos, o que significa que muitos dos mesmos inconvenientes que mencionamos em 2018 ainda estão presentes nesta versão 2022. Adoraríamos ver melhorias na QoL, tais como tampas de porta que são mais fáceis de abrir, webcam de maior resolução, ou até mesmo USB-C Power Delivery, o que teria tornado o sistema mais versátil caso o adaptador AC proprietário não estivesse disponível. A modulação por largura de pulso ainda está presente, o que significa que os usuários sensíveis à cintilação na tela podem querer evitar o uso do S410 por longos períodos. Em contraste, o Dell Latitude 7330 Resistente não apresenta tal comportamento cintilante enquanto integra tanto tampas de portas mais fáceis de abrir quanto PD USB-C.
