Após a Spin 5, a Acer produziu outro conversível - e este é destinado a jogadores ocasionais. No entanto, além do design ligeiramente modificado que agora apresenta elementos vermelhos, não fica imediatamente claro se outras mudanças foram feitas na versão para jogos. Como já mencionamos na análise, existem duas grandes diferenças entre o interior do Acer Spin 5 e do Acer Nitro 5 Spin. A tela Chi Mei no Nitro é cerca de 100 cd/m² mais brilhante, tem um tempo de resposta mais rápido e oferece maior cobertura de espaço de cor, mas também possui um menor contraste e valor de preto do que a tela do Spin 5. Além disso, a Acer escolheu um SSD Micron para o Nitro 5, enquanto o Spin 5 está equipado com um SSD Intel significativamente mais rápido.
Os compradores não devem tomar sua decisão com base apenas na cor da carcaça. Quais características da tela são mais importantes para você? Você está disposto a abrir mão do SSD mais rápido? Nós esperaríamos um pouco mais do que um teclado "WASD" vermelho de uma versão para jogos. A Acer poderia ter feito mudanças mais significativas entre o Nitro 5 e o Spin 5 normal, como adicionar uma porta Ethernet ou melhorar o sistema de resfriamento.
