Ryzen 9 7945HX Dragon Range CPU

O AMD Ryzen 9 8940HX é o principal processador de 16 núcleos para laptops da linha de atualização Dragon Range que foi lançado em abril de 2025. O produto oferece 16 núcleos Zen 4 habilitados para SMT (32 threads) rodando de 2,4 GHz a 5,3 GHz, juntamente com uma Radeon 610M RDNA 2 bastante básica. Essa APU Ryzen 9 8000 é essencialmente um Ryzen 9 7940HX com a velocidade do clock Turbo aumentada em 100 MHz.

O 8940HX é composto por três matrizes feitas em dois nós diferentes (5 nm para núcleos de CPU; 6 nm para outros componentes). Ele apresenta 28 pistas PCIe 5 muito saudáveis para conectar placas de vídeo e SSDs com velocidade de até 15,75 GB/s. O controlador de RAM é limitado a DDR5-5200 ou mais lento; não há NPU nem suporte a Thunderbolt, conforme indica a página do produto no site amd.com, mas o multiplicador de clock é desbloqueado para facilitar o overclocking.

Desempenho

Embora não tenhamos testado um único sistema com o 8940HX até abril de 2025, temos algumas pontuações de benchmark do Cinebench para o 7940HX. Com base nelas, o Ryzen 9 mais recente não deve ter problemas para superar o Core i9-13950HX, Core i9-13980HX e Core i9-14900HX.

Dito isso, com essa quantidade de núcleos, a APU provavelmente atenderá muito melhor aos criadores de conteúdo do que aos jogadores.

Consumo de energia

Assim como o 7940HX, o 8940HX tem um TDP (limite de energia de longo prazo) básico de 55 watts que pode ser oficialmente aumentado para até 75 watts. Para dissipar mais de 50 watts, é necessária pelo menos uma ventoinha de alta rotação.
