AMD R7 3780U

O AMD Ryzen 7 3780U (Microsoft Surface Edition) é um SoC móvel que foi anunciado em Outubro de 2019 como parte do novo Surface Laptop 15. Combina quatro núcleos Zen+ (8 fios) com relógio a 2,3 - 4 GHz com uma placa gráfica Radeon RX Vega 11 com 11 CUs (704 Shaders) com relógio a até 1400 MHz. Especificado a 15 Watt TDP, o SoC destina-se a computadores portáteis de gama média fina.

Em comparação com o Ryzen 7 3700U semelhante, o 3780U oferece o Vega 11 mais rápido em vez do Vega 10 GPU.

Os SoCs Picasso utilizam a microarquitectura Zen+ com ligeiras melhorias que deverão levar a uma melhoria de 3% do IPC (performance por relógio). Além disso, o processo de 12nm permite taxas de relógio mais elevadas com consumos de energia semelhantes.

O controlador de memória integrado de duplo canal suporta até memória DDR4-2400. Como as características das APUs Picasso são as mesmas em comparação com as antecessoras do Raven Ridge, apontamos para o nosso artigo de lançamento do Raven Ridge.

AMD afirma que as APUs de Picasso são cerca de 8% mais rápidas do que as antecessoras. Por conseguinte, o Ryzen 7 3780U deve estar ligeiramente à frente do Ryzen 7 2700U. Na nossa referência, o Ryzen 7 3700U e, por conseguinte, também o 3780U não poderia estar muito à frente em comparação com o Ryzen 7 2700U médio.
