Tivemos a oportunidade de testar o desempenho do novo Intel Core Ultra 5 338H, incluindo a GPU Arc B370 com 10 núcleos Xe em alguns benchmarks. Os resultados são muito promissores e a diferença de desempenho em relação ao Arc B390 é pequena.

Já demos uma olhada de perto na nova arquitetura Panther Lake da Intel e analisamos tanto o desempenho quanto a eficiência das novas CPUs e da rápida iGPU Arc B390. O resultado foi um enorme aumento no desempenho da GPU em comparação com as GPUs integradas anteriores, como a Intel Arc Graphics 140V/140T ou a Radeon 890M da AMD. Em todos os benchmarks combinados, o senhor pode ver uma vantagem de cerca de 70%.

Nossos testes foram limitados a modelos de CPU com a GPU Arc B390 mais rápida no lançamento, mas agora também tivemos a oportunidade de realizar alguns testes com a Arc B370. Nossa unidade de teste foi uma amostra de engenharia, em que o processador foi executado em um limite de energia constante de 35 Watts.

O Core Ultra 5 338H oferece 12 núcleos, incluindo quatro núcleos de desempenho rápido com clock de até 4,7 GHz. A GPU integrada é a Arc B370, que apresenta 10 núcleos Xe e, portanto, dois a menos em comparação com a Arc B390. O clock máximo da GPU também é um pouco menor, 2,4 contra 2,5 GHz. Assim como os modelos com a GPU Arc B390, o Core Ultra 5 338H só está disponível com RAM sodada (até 8533 MHz).

Desempenho da CPU

Analisando o desempenho da CPU, o novo Core Ultra 5 338H tem um bom desempenho e está praticamente no mesmo nível do novo AMD Ryzen AI 9 465 com valores de TDP comparáveis (45/35W), que analisamos no Asus Zenbook S16. A Intel está ligeiramente à frente nos testes de núcleo único, enquanto o chip da AMD oferece melhor desempenho de vários núcleos.

Desempenho da GPU

Como esperado, a Arc B370 é derrotada pela Arc B390 nos benchmarks sintéticos, mas os limites de potência também desempenham um papel aqui e analisaremos mais de perto na próxima seção. Os resultados do Arc B370 são muito promissores em geral e há uma grande vantagem sobre as iGPUs anteriores da Intel (Arc Graphics 140V/140T) e da AMD (Radeon 890M).

Também analisamos o desempenho em valores mais baixos de TDP. O desempenho do Arc B370 é praticamente idêntico ao do Arc B390 a 20 Watts, enquanto o déficit é de apenas 6% a 35 Watts.

Impressões iniciais

A primeira impressão do novo Core Ultra 5 338H com a GPU Arc B370 é positiva. O desempenho geral da CPU (combinação de um e vários núcleos) está no mesmo nível do novo AMD Ryzen AI 9 465 em configurações de TDP semelhantes. O Arc B370 continua com a boa impressão do Arc B390 e a diferença geral não é tão grande na faixa de TDP de até 35 watts que pudemos testar até agora. O delta de desempenho provavelmente será um pouco maior em limites de potência mais altos.

Teremos que esperar um pouco mais para fazer testes mais abrangentes e esperamos que as primeiras unidades de varejo com o novo Core Ultra 5 338H e o Arc B370 cheguem nas próximas semanas.
