Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

O Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact é um smartphone de gama alta com uma tela de 4,6 polegadas, e um formato tão pequeno possui um valor de escassez. Se você está procurando um smartphone poderoso que pode ser facilmente operado com uma mão, este é definitivamente um dispositivo para você. Mas o Xperia XZ1 Compact, que carrega um preço oficial de 599 euros (~$700, versão americana $599), tem mais do que apenas o seu pequeno tamanho e o seu forte desempenho.

 

Uma das atrações óbvias é o sistema operacional Android 8.0 - no momento da nossa análise, este é um dos poucos smartphones que rodam o novo sistema operacional. E a lista de pros continua: um módulo WLAN rápido, boas câmeras, bons alto-falantes, a telar HD brilhante e uniformemente iluminada e uma duração de bateria bastante longa. Sob o capô, o SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, de gama alta, garante que tudo seja suave como manteiga. 

 

Formato pequeno, hardware de gama alta e Android 8.0 - atualmente estes três se unem somente no Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact.

 

Não há nada de grave para criticar sobre o Xperia XZ1 Compact. O fato de que a bateria não pode ser substituída é certamente suportável. No entanto, a carcaça pode ser um ponto crítico para algumas pessoas. Com suas bordas duras e cantos afiados, bem como espaços vazios comparativamente grandes acima e abaixo da tela, o design não agradará a todos.
