Intel i9-9900KS

O Intel Core i9-9900KS é um processador de topo de gama para secretária que inclui 8 núcleos baseados na arquitectura Coffee Lake. É o CPU mais rápido de Coffee Lake em 2019 e comparado com o semelhante denominado i9-9900K, o KS oferece um Turbo de 5 GHz com todo o núcleo. Todos os núcleos podem relógio entre 4 GHz e 5 GHz e graças aos fios Hyperthreading / SMT 16 podem ser executados em paralelo. O CPU é ainda fabricado no processo maduro de 14 nm (14nm++). Graças ao multiplicador aberto, o CPU é bastante fácil de fazer overclock (se for utilizada uma placa principal baseada em Z390).

Com um bom arrefecimento, o i9-9900KS pode ser cerca de 10% mais rápido do que o anterior Intel Core i9-9900K (graças ao Turbo de 5 GHz todo o núcleo). Em comparação com o antigo Core i7-8700K, o 9900KS é até 45% mais rápido. Especialmente para jogos, o 9900KS é actualmente a opção mais rápida disponível. As CPUs Ryzen e Threadripper rápidas da AMD oferecem, no entanto, um melhor desempenho multithreaded.

A GPU integrada é chamada Intel UHD Graphics 630 e relógios com até 1,2 GHz. Não é adequada para jogos 3D exigentes e localizada na extremidade baixa.

O TDP é elevado para 127 Watt para o desempenho adicional, pelo que é necessário um bom refrigerador de CPU. Quando se faz overclocking ao CPU, mais de 200 Watt podem ser atingidos em carga invertida.
