AMD R5 4500U

O AMD Ryzen 5 4500U é um processador para computadores portáteis finos e leves baseado na arquitectura Renoir. O 4500U integra seis núcleos baseados na microarquitectura Zen 2. São cronometrados a 2,3 (relógio base garantido) a 4 GHz (Turbo) sem suporte SMT / Hyperthreading (6 fios). O chip é fabricado no moderno processo de 7 nm na TSMC e em parte graças a ele a AMD anuncia um desempenho 2x melhorado por Watt para os chips Renoir. Comparado com o Renoir 5 4600U semelhante, o 4500U não oferece nenhum SMT, mas de resto deve ter um desempenho bastante semelhante. 

Com menos dois núcleos, o Ryzen 5 4500U é claramente mais lento do que o Ryzen 7 4700U e o 4800U em cargas de trabalho multi-roscas. Contudo, deve ainda vencer o núcleo Intel Core i7-1065G7 (4 núcleos, 3,9 GHz) de 15 Watt Ice Lake mais rápido. Graças ao relógio de 4 GHz Boost, o desempenho do núcleo único deverá ser semelhante. Portanto, o Ryzen 5 4600U é um CPU de 15 Watt muito rápido e claramente mais rápido do que o antigo Ryzen 7 3700U.

Além dos seis núcleos de CPU, a APU também integra uma placa gráfica Radeon RX Vega 6 integrada com 6 CUs e até 1500 MHz. O controlador de memória de duplo canal suporta DDR4-3200 e LPDDR4-4266 RAM energeticamente eficiente. Além disso, 8 MB de cache de nível 3 podem ser encontrados no chip. O TDP da APU é especificado a 15 Watt (por defeito) e pode ser configurado de 10 a 25 Watt pelo fornecedor do portátil. Isto significa que o chip se destina a computadores portáteis finos e leves (mas com ventoinhas).
