Intel i7-9850H

O Intel Core i7-9850H é um processador topo de gama para portáteis com seis núcleos baseado na arquitectura Coffee Lake (2019 refresh, CFL-HR). O processador relógios entre 2,6 e 4,6 GHz (4 GHz com 6 núcleos) e pode executar até doze roscas simultaneamente graças ao Hyper-Threading. De acordo com a Intel, o CPU é fabricado num processo melhorado de 14nm (14nm++). Em comparação com o precedente, o Core i7-8850H, o 9850H oferece apenas taxas de relógio melhoradas.

A arquitectura do Coffee Lake é semelhante à do Kaby Lake e difere apenas na quantidade de núcleos (agora seis núcleos para as versões topo de gama) e no processo melhorado de 14nm (14nm++ de acordo com a Intel).

Desempenho

Devido aos dois núcleos adicionais, o desempenho aumentou quase 50% em comparação com um processador Kaby Lake com relógio semelhante, como o Core i7-7920HQ (3,1 - 4,1 GHz). O desempenho do núcleo único não melhorou desde o seu predecessor Kaby Lake. Em comparação com o i7-8850H, o desempenho melhorou apenas ligeiramente.

Gráficos

A Intel UHD Graphics 630 iGPU integrada deve oferecer um desempenho ligeiramente superior, uma vez que a sua taxa de relógio foi aumentada em 50 MHz (rumores). A arquitectura é idêntica à do Intel HD Graphics 630. Esperamos uma melhoria do desempenho, mas como solução de gama baixa, provavelmente só exibirá os jogos actuais suavemente com detalhes reduzidos - se é que o fará de todo.

Consumo de energia

A Intel especifica o TDP com 45 watts e, portanto, o i7 só é adequado para grandes computadores portáteis com boas soluções de refrigeração. Utilizando cTDP-down, o CPU também pode ser configurado para 35 Watt, resultando num desempenho reduzido.
